SeedRanch Pensacola Bahia Grass Seed - 1 Lb

The grass seed did not come up. I have planted grass seed over 35 years and have never had this happen. I kept it moist as should be and nothing ever came up. I would not recommend this at all.

I am thinking about having my gardener come every week instead of every other week.When seeding my lawn, I also sprinkled on some Scotts Green Max (which contains iron) and this stuff will NOT stop growing! These seeds deliver.

Not sure what the normal germination rate is on bahia but the standard for most forage and lawn grasses is 90% germination on test. The bag I got said 50% germination for this. So flip a coin, you have a 50% chance any given seed will sprout. Bahia is a soil seed bank plant - so you may have to wait up to a year before your "seed" sprouts, but may see sprouting as quick as 30 days after planting. I put the bag I got out hoping for some sprouting in 30 days and hopefully some sprouting next year, but with that abysmal germination under ideal conditions I might just write it off as excessively expensive soil amendment. Will not purchase this seed from this vendor again.

I live in Florida and it’s the hot rainy season, perfect time for seeds to instantly grow, but these never sprouted. I have used other brands last year, as well as other seeds like clover, and they all came up and grew, but not these.Not sure why but it’s disappointing that it doesn’t perform the way they should, maybe it’s not good quality, but it’s a waste of money and time.

If I could give a ZERO for my rating I would.I couldn't get a single seed to germinate. This was watered every day for over two weeks and only weeds grew. It's not like I can return it to get my money back. Maybe it would help if there were directions on the package. I have grown grass before, so I know it's not me. I'm just trying to help you not waste your money.HORRIBLE PRODUCT.
