- Japanese Knife Set with Bag, Hand Forged High Carbon Steel Chef Knives

I was impressed by the quality of this knife set right out of the box. The knives are sharp, well-balanced, and comfortable to hold. Whether I'm preparing vegetables, slicing meat, or doing BBQ prep, they handle every task with ease. The high carbon steel blades feel durable, and the included carrying bag makes it easy to store or take along for camping trips. The craftsmanship looks great, and the knives have maintained their sharpness after regular use. Overall, this is a fantastic set for anyone who enjoys cooking at home or outdoor grilling.

Very good for the price. All around well made and comfortable in the hand. I have seen much more expensive knives that were made less carefully. They are sharp out of the box, and function well in cutting and chopping. Good geometry and grind in the blades. One very minor issue I had was the handle had sharp edges that I found a bit uncomfortable. But that is easily fixed with a bit of sandpaper. Considering that is the only noticeable flaw, I consider them very impressive at the price. I do find the selection a little peculiar as a set. The gyuuto, and kiritsuke, are similar enough that they have little difference in functionality. If I were carefully putting a set together, I might swap the kiritsuke with a petty.

My huntress daughter asked for these for Christmas. We didn't open them until it was time to make venison jerky. Before the first knife was out of the packaging - she sliced through the tip of her thumb. Very sharp! I'm sure they'll work great.

Finger off? Yes you possibly could! These knives are sharp sharp. I imaging them in a samurai movie carving up fruits and veggies. Don’t change colors or rust- even when your teenagers leave them floating in the sink all night and day

This well exceeded my expectations. 4 knives, a sharpener, and a pair of scissors; there’s variety and probably all you really need. The sharpness out the box was phenomenal, it maintains its edge which means it’s of good/great quality—build and material—, and it looks really professional. Everything I wanted in my knives and the kit itself.

Been using these knives for a while now and they are a great bargain. I just make sure to keep them dry and hone them with the provided rod after every use and they're still as sharp as when I got them.

I bought these back in December, they are great cut very well nice handling but they are now starting to rust and I hand wash them and towel dry them and they’re still starting to rust. A product like this and this expensive I didn’t think should have this issue. Don’t recommend!!!
