Let me start by saying I hate self-tanner. I can never get it to apply evenly, the smell is always awful, and the color usually looks completely wrong on my fair skin. Because of that, I’ve pretty much avoided it—until now. This gradual self-tan lotion is totally different. It’s very easy to apply evenly, and I haven’t had any issues with streaking or splotchy areas at all. I use a mitt for most of my body and a brush around my hands, fingers, elbows, knees, feet, and neck, which helps everything blend seamlessly. The scent is also better than most. It actually smells pleasant when you first apply it, and while it does develop that typical self-tanner smell later on, it’s much milder and not nearly as overpowering as others I’ve tried. What I like most is that it doesn’t make me look overly tan—it just adds a bit of natural-looking color. It’s more of a subtle glow than a full tan, and the shade actually works really well for my fair complexion. It looks healthy and natural, not orange or fake. Another big plus is that the color doesn’t transfer onto my clothes or sheets, which is always a concern with self-tanners.
