Great frame
I absolutely adore this frame. I was a bit skeptical regarding comments about it not being sturdy and bars bending, and it being squeaky. So far so good for me! I assembled this on my own and it truly doesn’t take much but I am a little challenged when it comes to assembling anything haha. It just ends up taking me more time than other people. The frame does not squeak, I haven’t had any poles bend. I did have trouble with one side when screwing it in not matching it up but I was able to get it with a few swings of a hammer. The instructions are clear and concise. I would say to give it a try if you’re considering it!

GORGEOUS CANOPY BEDFRAME!!
After reading all the negative reviews for this canopy bed re: stickers hard to remove, squeaking and creaking and falling apart, it was not enough to determine me, I knew it would look beautiful in my space, so I still purchased this gorgeous canopy bed. I have always wanted a bed like this all my life.I'm 66 years old and put this frame together by myself. It was straight forward and uncomplicated, instructions and coding were very well explained and easy to follow.Stickers are not hard to remove at all, there is no residue left, you just need a bit of patience, good nails and they come off easily as a whole.Just remove them before construction, for obvious reasons. All in all, I love this bedframe and it completed the whole look of my bedroom makeover. Thank you Novogratz.

Lightweight, relatively sturdy, super cute.
This item came packaged well with detailed instructions, all the required parts, and labeled items. I purchased this bed about 5 years ago. I’ve never had any issues putting it together myself as a young woman, but if you’re not a weirdo that LOVES putting together furniture (adult legos?), you’d likely prefer having another person or 2 to help. If you have a power drill, use it. It’s SO much faster. But if you put on some good music the allen wrench does just fine.Pros- She’s real cute. I’ve had a full canopy of sheer curtains, fairy lights, garland, all sorts of things over the canopy part of the bed. Right now, the space I’m in doesn’t look “right” with the canopy poles, so I took them off and it’s just functioning like a bed with short posters on the 4 sides. The gold IS DARKER. Think like a gold that has the value of a medium tan. It has a sheen to it, but it’s not in any way chromatic. This was fine with me, but if you’re wanting something that will match the gold on most gold decor you would see on this site, for example, you’ll find the frame is darker. I haven’t struggled as much as others have seemed to with the mattress moving. If someone is launching themselves onto your bed, it’ll scoot, though. There isn’t any lip to hold it in place, which helps me change the sheets and make the bed a lot easier.Cons- She can be squeaky. I have a theory that this could be remedied with some WD-40 possibly, but I haven’t tested it myself. As others have mentioned, the top, lateral bars of the canopy that connect the posts together, are very much bendable. Don’t put anything with much weight at all on them. If you have curtains up, significant pulling on them could bend the poles, especially if it was near the middle. I didn’t have success straightening it out. I did manage to fully bend one a few years back (think a V shape, don’t ask.), and when I did try to straighten it back out, the metal broke. I tried to mend it with a myriad of adhesives to no avail. I used a wooden dowel between the parts to keep them level, and some garland hid it well enough for me to deal before I got tired of the canopy part. I couldn’t tell you when, but at some point in the past year I’ve managed to bend one of the longer square bars that holds the crossbars for the mattress. But, I have stood on the bars several dozen times, so I’ll take partial blame for sure. It’s very easy to take apart for moving. I would take apart the canopy in its entirety, leave the front and back parts together, detached from the middle, and leave the entire array of bars where the mattress lays as it was.Overall, absolutely worth the money spent on it. My queen cost me just shy of $200 which as a full time college student was about how much I could afford. This bed let me live out my childhood dream of having a whimsical, princess style canopy bed, fairy lights and all. Which healed my inner child for the span of time I could tolerate the lack of airflow that being encased in curtains entails.

100% worth the price point
The only downside to this, is that we received it with zero instructions. Thankfully, with a little common sense, it wasn’t hard to put together by simply looking at the photo on this listing. I have a purple mattress which is insanely heavy and takes two very strong people to lift/move, and two box springs underneath (king size), and after sleeping on it last night it seems durable. I would definitely recommend not purchasing for wood floors, or if you do, getting a giant rug or some form of non-sliding caps to go under the legs. The frame itself (under the mattress) seems to have more support then some of the thousands of dollars frames I have had before. The metal bars at the top, however, are extremely flimsy so you couldn’t hang anything more than draping curtains or things that are extremely light weight. That aspect is definitely just for show. It’s adorable for a simplistic, yet fun bed frame, and extremely fair priced.
