Focus on an important issue, about how you should look towards money and investment in general. She elaborate and important point of focusing on the asset allocation rather that stock picking. 2. Elaborate on the repeated mistakes done by common investor and how those can be avoided. 3. Mantras are basically the checklist one should follow before making any investment decision. 4. It's written an easy to grasp language for someone not aware in financial terminologies. 5. Cover almost every conceivable topic related to investment like behavioural economics and quant investment. 6. Reference of book for reading, if someone is more interested in more details. Con and my 2 cents 1. Some of the topics , like valuation, ratios, behavioural finance, are more complex, so only touched superficially in the book. 2.Some topics needed More example and refences to the published articles may be added so topic is more understandable and engrossing. 3. The subsequent revised addition with inputs from other authors or sub domain experts on individual topics may be the the best contribution to the enhance understanding the art and science of investing.

The book goes in depth explaining concepts of investment. The author has exemplified how risk and rewards are part of investment procedure. She has elaborated how investors get absorbed into the surface-level rewards of few investors without knowing and understanding the underlying loses otherwise incurred by them and/or other investors. The author has comprehensively enumerated how AI/ML with professional Human involvement can reduce the Noise in investment towards more promising and verifiable rewards. The only point of concern is that it seems that more often than not, the author is trying to market First Global and its FG-HUM smallcase investments.

I am generally wary about things or products having very good reviews, as it is very easy to have paid reviews in age of internet. However after watching her podcast on Deshbhakt youtube channel, I decided to purchase kindle version and I was mind blown by the her insightful, nuanced, vast yet easy to understand wisdom. This book is easily one of the best books on topic. Before the age of internet, knowledge was not easily available. However now we live in the age of abundant knowledge to the extent that now the real challenge for humanity is to learn how to filter the noise coming from everywhere like finfluencers etc. This book is the perfect first step for learning towards how to approach investment with right mindset and realistic expectations. Thank you Debina Mehra for condensing your 30+ years of wisdom in such a readable and easy to digest book. A must read for everyone looking for investing in the market.

- The author writes about diversification but never in the book mentions index funds. - There is just one chapter for DIY investor, talking about asset allocation, but no deep dive into what percentages that would be and how they need to be adjusted. - It also seems to suggest that you have to find a good fund manager. - There are some contradictory suggestions as to cutting your loosers, but then waiting for some time for the markets to recover. - Finally, they don’t talk about when First Global got it wrong themselves .
