Beautiful aesthetic earbuds, check your packaging, low volume UPDATE
First of all, I love how these look and feel! I wanted some open-ear earbuds that weren't so big, were attractive, had decent sound, were from a name brand, and were not as expensive as the BOSE options. For starters, I ordered the black and maroon and kept the maroon because I preferred the color. They look like jewelry. The earbuds paired to any device I needed them too right away. One plus? Physical buttons! The button controls are easy to use and responsive. The earbuds cuff around the outer edge of the ear. The size like with most open earbuds are slightly larger than most earbuds YET the case is very compact. Once inside the case, the earbuds are very tiny. No one seamed to notice me wearing them until I pointed them out, other than compliments on my new earrings. They stayed connected all day, and lasted about an 8+ hour day of constant wear. The earbuds open up to slightly clasp onto the ear but were comfortable. PROS Quick connectivity App controls Physical buttons Style and aesthetics Comfort: You won't know you're wearing them They do not fall out of your ear easily CONS Sound volume: Open-ear earbuds are designed to not go directly into the ear canal so that the person can still hear what is around them. Unfortunately, even for open-ear buds like the Oladance for example, these have abysmally quiet sound if in a busy environment or any environment not quiet like a library. The poor sound is the biggest con to me with these. The quality is good, the volume is not. NEUTRALS NEUTRAL: Price is lower than the BOSE but higher overall NEUTRAL: My item came without the box wrapped in paper like the black model. I inspected the buds. They were clean BUT the box was dirty! No instructions were included but the app has instructions included. Price: While cheaper than BOSE, BOSE is expensive for a reason. The sound quality here is good, but the volume is not. The build quality is good but again, the sound is the biggest boon or con to any earbuds. UPDATE TO 5 STARS FOR WATER SURVIVABILITY I dropped the left earbud in an empty clean toilet! I fished it out, dried it, disinfected the bud, blew in compressed air, baked it in a low-temp lab oven with active antimicrobial ions, air-dried, and powered off the earbuds... Lo and behold, it works and holds charge as if nothing happened despite being in water for at least 3 minutes and 100% ethanol for at least 30 seconds. It is not everyday you find earbuds that can survive water!

Great ear buds
These fit great, charge quickly and pair with multi devices and switch between the two with ease. The sound quality is nice, they are comfortable to wear and I think good value.

I LOVE these JVC ear buds!
I have only been wearing for a couple of days now and they are GREAT! Design is beautiful and they stay put during activities. For the complaints of not being loud enough Ihave read, nonsense. I wear hearing aids, not with the ear buds and the volume is great. I have pretty close to the lowest volume setting on my phone and can hear them perfectly. Sound quality is also great. I have tried literally a dozen ear buds over the years and these are great. I'm listening to music now on my back porch and can hear the birds chirping also. I highly recommend these JVC ear buds. If you need more volume you must have a severe hearing issue or you're just damaging your ears listening to high volumes which you WILL REGRET one day. A+

Finally something that meets my need
The basics: The in-ear piece isn’t too large, it’s comfortable, and the sound quality is good. To be honest, I thought my demands are pretty simple, and I didn't expect to have to pay at this price tag for something so basic. I’ve returned a few clip-on earbuds (Soundcore and JLab) because they had one or more issues that this JVC earbud handles perfectly: 1. Both earbuds work properly, with no connectivity issues on either side. 2. I can watch YouTube videos during a video call without the audio quality getting weird or distorted. 3. I can move to the kitchen or living room without a significant drop in call quality. 4. The app able to find and connect to the headphone. Issues with the JVC: 1. The button option in the app is a bit confusing, “skip up” goes to the next song, while “skip down” goes back to the previous one. 2. The multi-point connection isn’t as smooth as with the previously mentioned brands, I have to disconnect one and reconnect another, but this doesn't bother me as much as long as it functions consistently.

New Essentials
I've been using these for a month and can say I've gotten enough time with them to feel I made a very good purchase with no regrets. Initially, I was unsure if they would be able to replace my Pixel Buds Pro and I was right to be unsure. For starters, these don't have noise cancelling which can definitely come in handy in very noisy scenarios and I wouldn't recommend using these if you're wearing a beanie or anything that will cover your ears. With that out of the way, the sound quality is okay with these. It's not the best, but the fact that I can wear these for over 8 straight hours with NO fatigue is mind-blowing. I can turn them up loud enough to hear my music over multiple people speaking over each other at the same time. My ears don't get itchy or sweaty from prolonged use and that alone makes them an absolute daily essential for me. What's even better is that I can have a conversation without taking them off. Transparency mode exists, yeah, but it's never as good as being able to have close to full situational awareness. The battery lasts all day for me and I don't even need to recharge after using both earbuds at the same time for my 8 hour shifts. The app is OK and offers some nice options for customizing button presses as there are physical buttons in lieu of pesky touch controls on both buds, but is not necessary. I can only NOT reccomend these for anything involving phone calls as it seems to change how the sound is processed and it becomes kind of ear-piercing to have prolonged conversations. This includes voice chatting with Discord as well: anything involving the microphone seems to make the sound output really weird. I will say that my friends didn't mind the microphone quality, which surprised me. For videos and gaming, they do offer a low-latency mode, albeit the app is required to enable it. TL;DR Great for extended use. Not the loudest, but loud enough. Able to have conversations and hear surroundings well. Incredibly comfortable and I love the design. Calls sound kind of awful, but is nice in a pinch. Low-latency mode available with app.

Fix the sound being shipped at 50%
The sound was horribly low. Once I connected it to my computer, I noticed the sound was defaulted to 50%. I raised it to 100% and when I used it on other devices the sound was now fine. It became obvious that increasing it on the computer had an effect on the device itself and perhaps it is being shipped with a default volume of 50% on the device that raising it on devices doesn't directly affect it? I don't know, I am not an expert, but this worked for me and the sound is fine now. I docked one star for that. It often needs both hands to put on each ear piece which is contrary to another open ear set I have that is half the price. It can also feel uncomfortable right away, no wear time. I need to play around with it until it feels better and it can become painful over time. The cheaper one I have, I've worn for over 8 hours without it becoming uncomfortable. The difference? Padding on the inside. A small, silicone padding and flexible ring instead of the solid one with this JVC. I docked another star for that. The battery life is half of the cheaper one I have. I docked another star for that. Why did I not return it? The only thing this has over my cheaper one is that it connected to the computer and my Nintendo Switch quite easily and the cheaper one has problems connecting to anything not a mobile device. Once the sound issue was fixed, I now have to lower the volume a little bit on most devices. It is actually pretty loud now and the sound quality is good.

Love everything about these except the app.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was looking for a earbud that was at least splash resistant that wouldn't slip out of my ear. I also needed something that would allow me to still hear conversation at the office and walking for safety. I saw this style of bud and was willing to try it due to the price Ease of use: These are the headphones I'm using the most in my life right now. I can put them on at the beginning of the day and keep them on all day. They don't budge as they have a magnet in the piece that keeps them in the place I placed them. At the end of the day, I wipe them down with wipes and allow them to dry and then replace them in their case. They charge seamlessly and connect to my phone without delay. They have an added bonus as they fit under my Barracuda Razer X headphones at work so I can take work calls without removing my earbuds. They don't cause me pain. That said, I could see where a wider ear lobe might be irritated. Your mileage may vary. Ear support: They stay put and they are comfortable. I really can't complain. Where I can complain? The app. No Equalizer. It's essentially an app to program the buttons on the device. That's it. So for me, that's a fail. Soundcore, JBL, and Sony all have more robust features in their app and for the life of me, I would be a little embarrassed if an audio program failed to provide necessary audio features. So that's the missing star. For me, this maroon color is nearly skin toned and they are very discrete. The only thing to monitor is that you don't crank up the sound too loud as open ear buds do allow more exterior noise. As long as you practice safe hearing practices, I think you'll be please.

Not convertible
Hearts the ears and has no fast charging plus bad battery life as well as bad voice quality.
