I bought the prepworks onion chopper as an impulse in store  Prepworks by Progressive Onion Chopper  and loved how quick and easy it made dicing vegetables, the only problem for me was that it only has one size chopping option which was quite small. I bought this device to get different sized chopping options and gave my old chopper to a friend.This works well, I have chopped onions, garlic, carrots, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers, celery without any problems. This saves me a lot of time while cooking or prepping veggies for the week. I find that I end up eating more food with healthy veggies, because it is fast and easy when they are pre-chopped.Like my old chopper, this works better if you put in somewhat smaller pieces of food to chop. For example, half an onion is possible to chop but it takes a lot of force on top, so I prefer to cut onions into quarters which chop much more easily, the same goes for most veggies. Although I think this works equally well as the progressive chopper, the plastic top of this one feels less sturdy, so I will have to see how this holds up over time.One thing that made me excited about this product is that it is a multitasker, storage space is always limited so I liked that this works as a mandoline and chopper. However, all of the parts that come with this product do not store neatly in the chopper, and all the loose parts made my cabinet feel disorganized and cluttered. I only use some of the parts regularly and those fit neatly in the device for storage (2 chopper sizes, mandoline slicer, large grater, plate to hold mandoline slicer and grater, cleaning tool, and handguard) the other parts are now in a box in my basement.This device gets a lot of use in my kitchen and I recommend this type of chopper to all my friends who enjoy cooking.

Takes a bit of practice, but very useful for things like carrots and onions. I wouldn't use this with tomatoes. Cleaning up can take up some time

received it today and used it to cut some onions. i like that you cant hurt yourself.it comes with different slicers/diceres and its easy to use.the bladesare very sharp.you can save time if you have a lot to cut.

I didnt get the correct item. Im not sure if it was a miss pick from the person in the warehouse, or if the wrong item is pictured in the listing? The item i did get does the same thing, but colored different, and has a lid. I kind of really like the wrong one though as you can actually choose the thin/thickness of the slices. I would keep it, however, i dont know if it cost more of less money than i paid for the original one. I gave three starts as if it was the wrong sent, it shouldn't effect the ratings of the correct item. It's just unfortunate as i was very excited to try it today while prepping tonight's dinner.

I read all the reviews, looked @ a dozen different choppers, this one seemed to be the most versatile & had the best feedback overall.Then I used it. I don't know what the people who love it are using, but it isn't this unit!The first thing I used it for was tomatoes. It smashed them instead of dicing.Next was cheese, the tab (on the end) bent-almost broke off, I ended up with crumbled cheese all over the counter.Bananas chopped well, duh!!!Strawberries BENT the blades (big cubes)!!! BENT THE BLADES!!!Onions chopped 1/2 the onions & smashed the other 1/2 (small cubes).Never even got around to carrots & potatoes!!I'm only 5'3" with regular height counters but I had a really difficult time pushing the food through the blades. I was afraid I was going to break the "Grip Lid".DON'T waste your $$$!!!

The product itself is fine but would prefer that it was self storage.

I thought the product was going to be a simple Veggie chopper BUT wait it is a total kitchen tool. It is a slice, dicer, chopper, egg separator and much more. You have to try out this product a simple tool right in front of you to make a meal or snack. I totally recommend this product to any family looking to make kitchen meal making easier.
