Umarex Strikepoint .177 Caliber Pellet Airgun

It's a Tack-Driver and Very Powerful, Easy to load too,This is a strait bone crusher,or for target. So It went through a 3/4" inch piece of Solid Wood. Did other test too,may video. This Umarex Strike Point .22 cal Pistol has been extremely Accurate an Powerful,tryed 3 different kind of Pellets and was cutting paper with all so very accurate and not picky on ammo. So far took about 350/400 shots, mostly being full power shots,an everything is good to go. It's better than expected it to be. No-disappointment 👍,an it's Very solidly built,there also is some pretty cool big mods/modifications you could do to it If you wanted to..,or smaller mods like trim half the hood "front sight protector" off with a dremel cut wheel. Great job UMAREX... Personally here left everything stock,an the hood is not a problem doesn't slow me down the slightest bit no matter if dark or not. But also wouldn't bother me with it trimmed half off either,it would still look good,nice little mod for someone. So for more technical but definitely doable mods "see youtube" there's a few impressive mods. Okay so all in all We like this one just as much as my crosman22,seems like it may have a little more power too when we tested it shooting into same piece of Solid Wood,an other. Would love to see UMAREX come out with a .22 co2 version of this with same good power or MORE! I don't care if it needs two co2's or not,an a clip/mag would be nice. Also if Umarex made another .22 pump version pistol they should make it even More Powerful no matter how many pumps it takes to get to full power,that would be great. OR would like to come out with a Versatile Powerful .22 pellet Pistol that can be Both Pumped and take Co2..that would be great nice all in one pumping it up or an throwing a co2 in it..that would be a wonderful Versatile Co2/Pump .22 Pistol all in one..,an would makes things easier,an a perfect tool to have could be semi auto/bolt-action an possibly with some sort of clip/mag, been thinking of something like this for years 🧐

Nice pellet pistol

The front sight on this thing sucks, the circular thing around the fiber optic covers the entire target and I can't see well, so I just cut that part off, which improved it a TON. It's pretty powerful, too! Pellets stick into wood at about 25 feet (they're all over the place in the picture because I'm bad at shooting, I think the gun is pretty accurate, I'm just not) Haven't gotten to shoot anything farther than that yet, though. It's got some weight to it and it feels really sturdy. However, the pumping is pretty hard for me, significantly harder than my crossman 760, but I can manage it nonetheless.

This .22 cal. pellet gun is powerful and accurate. It is a little hard to pump after six strokes. It is most accurate with 14 grain pellets. I haven't figured out how to attach a scope or red dot sight yet, and I may not be able to. It will shoot clean enter and exit holes thru a full bottle of water and make it jump off the table at 40 feet on seven pumps. Next I'll try filling the bottles with red Jello. You can pinch your fingers pumping it up, so be careful, but the most dangerous part of this gun is probably getting it out of the the clamshell packaging.

The gun is a bit award in size, and takes a lot of pumps to get it going and I feel like I waste a lot of time between shots. It's fairly accurate, was able to hit about 15 yards away with no issues.

I purchased this gun because I grew up around a similar pump-action .22 caliber pistol, however, I purchased this particular make/model for its power/velocity over anything else. I was pleasantly surprised to find this weapon had more to offer than just being the most powerful in its class. PROS: Came pre-oiled from the factory, complete with that old fashioned gun oil smell. Sturdy construction with no "fake" or "non-functional" ornamental parts. The trigger-block safety actually works! Powerful! While I did not use a chronograph, it left quite a mess of cardboard and target paper- far more than I was expecting. The shots seem more straight/true compared to other guns in this class. Super accurate and consistent grouping (shooting 14.3 grain hollow points from 25 feet) Trigger pull is smooth and easy, making accurate consistent shots possible Pumping is mostly easy and feels consistent, no wiggles. Receiving bolt feels sturdy, and plenty of clearance is afforded for the more "exotic' ammunition (about 7/16 inch to be exact) Crazy quiet, especially considering how powerful this gun is. No CO2 cartridges, No tanks or expensive high-pressure pumps needed. CONS: No rail for accessories- This gun has the power (and real estate!) to be worthy of accessories, and yet there are no rails. This wouldn't entirely be a problem, except for the next con... Not so great open-sights- While it does have adjustable rear sights, it isn't very user-friendly in terms of target acquisition, or for new-to-guns users. I personally enjoy the open sights of this gun, whereas my wife adamantly does not. The manual received shows a standard dovetail sight, which may be confusing for new gun users who will see a different sight picture when using this weapon system. Practice will overcome this though! :) Other Thoughts: Ultimately, this gun is a must own (assuming you can legally do so of course). You can teach firearm safety quite effectively with this gun, as well as proper marksmanship techniques that will carry over, should you decide to take a leap into real firearms. You can make quick work of small pests around the farm or ranch. Or just a really good time plinking targets with friends. This gun will not disappoint, that's for sure!

Before buying, I recommend reading some of the negative reviews to get a more accurate picture of this pistol. My primary complaints are the sights and overall accuracy. The front sight is hooded, and the dot on the front blade is excessively large, making precise aiming difficult. The rear sight offers very limited adjustment. Windage is adjusted with screws, while elevation requires literally bending the metal sight. Even then, it cannot be lowered enough to properly zero the pistol. Accuracy is a significant issue. At just 12 feet, the best groups I could achieve were around 4 inches. It's difficult to overstate how inaccurate this pistol is. If it had better accuracy, you might be able to compensate for the sight limitations, but that simply isn't the case. Another questionable design choice is that the bolt must be opened before pumping. This means I have to be careful not to accidentally load and chamber a pellet before completing the pumping process. Pumping itself presents another problem. The trigger guard has a sharp, protruding corner that can easily catch your hand if you're not paying close attention while operating the pump. Finally, the trigger pull is fairly heavy. Combined with the short barrel and limited points of contact available with a pistol, this likely contributes to the poor accuracy. Shooting from a rest, sled, or beanbags might improve results, but who buys a $50 pellet pistol primarily for bench shooting? Overall, the combination of poor sights, limited adjustability, mediocre accuracy, awkward pumping mechanics, and a heavy trigger makes this a disappointing purchase.
