WATERFLYSling Bag Crossbody Backpack: Over Shoulder Daypack Casual Cross Chest Side Pack

Easy fill, easy on, easy off
Yeah, I love this sling pack. I bought a smaller version for a trip to Iceland and while it was great, it didn't hold enough. This is the perfect size for me. Some waterproof gear, couple of snacks, something to read, and my camera, etc. Side pocket for water bottle. Having a wired headphones wire thing is a bit odd in 2024, and I don't plan to use the umbrella holder (I'll use it for something else I'm sure) though it's a cool idea. Nice color, and enough thickness for my stuff while remaining light-weight.The biggest thing, for me as a positive, is it lacks the front pocket on the strap where you're supposed to keep your phone - I have a practically identical bag to this one that includes that pocket, and it's the reason I don't wear that bag and wanted a new one. It keeps riding up into my face, it's too small for modern phones, it adds an odd heft to it - so I was specifically looking for pretty much the same bag without that pocket, and I found it.

Fabulous bag
I use this bag for my purse. The size is great, I love having a water bottle spot. Lots of secret pockets. It’s is well made and very comfortable. I’ve used similar bags for much more money. This bag surpasses that one.

Perfect.
I ordered another sling bag (G4 small crossbody sling) and it was ridiculously small...like the size of a fanny pack. I'm sure it would be fine for, like, a trip to the grocery store or a local park though. But THIS bag! We're spending a week in Mexico City. We'll be walking and Ubering a ton and, just as in any large city, pickpockets are a thing. There will be multiple museums, a boat tour and a TON of cafes and restaurants (Mexico City has more Michelin star restaurants than any other city in North America). Unlike a backpack, you do not need to take the whole thing off to get something out...just slide it over your shoulder. When worn over your right shoulder, all of the zippers are easily accessed. It has a TON of room and organization. I plan to use this as my purse and my wallet. Also...unlike a backback...you can comfortably wear the bag on your front which is especially good when you're standing in a line, in a crowd or on public transit because, again, pickpockets! It also has an extra-safe pocket on the back...which does not face people/the world. It's a great pocket for passports. I did notice one weird thing - when worn over the right shoulder, the hidden pocket on the shoulder strap faces down. I had planned to put cash and cards there...but I don't think it will work since they might fall out when I unzip it. It will probably end up holding my phone...which is fine. One of the main compartments has a slotted organization pouch - perfect for cards. This area will probably become my wallet. Since the strap has a hook, you can easily hook the strap around a chair or bench...making it inconvenient for "grab and go" type theft. I know...I sound paranoid. That's because I am paranoid. I lived in a large city (San Francisco) and...trust me...you won't even feel it when a pickpocket unzips your bag and takes something. And you would be amazed how fast a guy can run after he's just grabbed your bag that was sitting next to you on a park bench (the term "track star" comes to mind). The trick is to make it inconvenient for them to do so...that's what this bag does. Also, since I'm the mommy (even though my kid is now *technically* an adult), I have to carry all of the stuff that nobody realizes we need until we need it: chapstick, wet wipes, spare umbrella, rain jacket(s), snacks, hat, sunscreen, extra masks, hand sanitizer, charging bank. This bag will easily fit all of that and more. And it will do so comfortably and conveniently. I'll try to remember to edit this post after our trip, but my first impressions are very, very positive. If you're on the fence regarding size, I recommend going larger. You can always pack less stuff than a bag was designed for - but not more.

Great modern alternative to backpack
I ordered the hemp gray when the gray was suddenly out of stock for a few days. (The gray came back in the very next day, so I ordered it as well--ended up returning the gray as I preferred the hemp gray after all! It seemed nicer in appearance IRL than in the photos, while the gray less so.).This is a good size, although it is NOT going to hold as much as a backpack holds. That said, it does hold quite a bit. If you normally carry a backpack & never fill it more than halfway, then this will be good for you--and the separate pockets will help keep you from having everything fall to the bottom.I am not going to wear it crossbody-style--it would really be in my way in front, and awkward in back. I plan to wear it over one shoulder. I pulled the strap to its shortest position--I'll likely either tie a knot or use a safety pin to keep it in place, since these straps have a tendency to loosen over time.If you like lots of specialized compartments, this bag is great for that. Others have detailed all of the pockets, so I won't get into that. Some pockets are likely more useful than others. The mesh pocket is roomy. I put a 16.9 oz. Hint water bottle in it, and had no need to use the extra secure strap (you could likely use that for something else--keys, lip gloss, or something else small, attached via a caribiner).I do wish some of the zippers opened a bit further at top & bottom--especially the biggest one. Oh well.I was least impressed with the sunglasses strap. A pouch or even a second strap (to hold the main portion of sunglasses to the sling) is really needed. I'd worry constantly about losing my sunglasses with just that little loop holding one earpiece.

Very roomy. Love the color. Subdued red. Water repellent during a downpour. Well made. Best bag I’ve had!!! Love all the zippers. Very handy to get to all items in bag. I highly recommend this to everyone. !!!!

Excellent Bag for Travel
I purchased this bag for an international vacation and I am very pleased with it. It has enough room without being so big you can over-pack it (it will easily hold a full-sized iPad in the biggest pocket). I think the best feature is the bottle holder - it is deep enough for a 24 oz bottle and has an extra elastic band to help keep the bottle from falling out when you bend over. The bag is easy to carry over the shoulder either front or back and cross-body is very comfortable. The "hidden" back pocket is perfect for money and your passport.

Slim, comfortable, adjustable.
Has several pockets, and will hold a good bit of stuff. We are taking a trip to Europe, including Barcelona and Rome, which are notorious for pick pockets. I like this because I can easily carry in in front of me, and the zippers are not easy to grab and open. I like the water bottle pocket on the outside, with a strap to help hold it.

Efficient and useful
I've wanted a sling bag like this for as long as I can remember. This one is just brilliant. It's made very well, functions well and has a few surprises. My main issue with it is I wish it was just a little bigger, atleast big enough to carry a 13 inch laptop. No other cons besides that. Brilliant product and a must buy if you want a sling bag.
