Forza Forza's!
Arrived via Yodel - with parcel open at top. It was a horrible rainy day and no items inside were missing. Assembled in 45min alone approximately. A few plastic shavings from the manufacturing process fall out the box, so be prepared and have a vacuum cleaner to hand and maybe a damp cloth to wipe down the parts before moving to artifical grass areas. Assembley was so easy. The connectors fit inside the small sections. This gives the piece a "plastic nipple" then goes into the large uprights and crossbars (they have a pre-drilled hole for the nipple to pop into). Once you've done the crossbar and base, you connect them to make an L shape. Pop the tensions bars into the (facing down) front of the goal, move it back to it's natural positon then move the tension bars (flexing it slightly) into the base. Nets are fiddly at first. I thought the instructions suggested the net label goes in the middle but the label was on the top left of mine. Once clipped in you have a smart set of goal nets. Honestly, they are so good to look at. Kids loved them. I was going to pre-order sandbag as two anchors provided are for real grass (not artifical unless you make a hole and potentially damage it) - glad I didn't bother. My two concerns I had before buying this were: 1. the sturdiness of the crossbar having seen it sag on the photos of larger Forza's 2. whether it would be big enough for my 7 and 10 year old. 3. can it withstand shots with a size 4 mitre delta (quite a hard ball). This answered my fears: 1. It's solid. Like really really solid. It's never going to sag and the posts are never going to crack from shots as close as hours (7m out) 2. My back wall is 8m wide. Think it's about 2m high. The size for the garden is perfect and with no neighbours over that wall it's important shots that just go over hit my fence and not disappear into a barbed wire premises. The space we play in is 8mx8m. Yes the goal might be a little tight for some people. We did a pen shootout and the save ratio is up from our old nets (a washing line and a wheely bin lol) but that's only going to get us shooting more accurately in my opinion. 3. Easily takes the shots and even when the target sheet is on, my 7yo has fallen into it and it's stretchy as not to break. The target net is also a good tool as it rebounds the balls rapidly too when they miss. It's hooks on via some great black elastic loops that are so easy once you get the knack of it. If you have a large garden the larger goals may suit you, but if my concerns about sagging are true you might need to modify it yourself using the hollowness of the pipe (it's drainpipe style UPVC) with maybe an aluminium or one upvc smaller pipe going across whole section. My final wrap up of this goal is if you want a natural goal shape (that the 6 x 4 or 8 x 6 versions don't have) and don't want the sag across the crossbar, buy this. It's a great goal and worth adding the target net.
