An excellent choice and essential for families today
We've had our TickTalk 5 for just under a year and it has become an essential part of our family's "communication plan", keeping us in touch when and where we need to. This has been particularly important as our child increasingly desires to have more independence and the ability to range about our neighborhood. The TickTalk gives us the peace of mind we need in knowing where he is (through reliable tracking) and knowing that he has the ability to stay in touch with us whenever needed. In this way, the TickTalk also serves as our child's introduction to the "digital lifestyle" that we are all living now. Battery life between charges is good and the watch is quite durable. Setup of the watch and the parent app was incredibly easy. Customer service is top tier, with the couple of questions that we had answered immediately (by a human, no less!). If you've got an energetic kid like mine (and you probably do), I would encourage you to purchase the extended warranty, it's not that much $$ and it is so worth it. The one time we needed service, thanks to a bad fall, TickTalk honored the warranty promptly. The fact that TickTalk offers this option is fantastic and says a lot about how they stand behind their product.

Great Starter Watch
I purchased this watch as a Xmas gift for my six year old son. He really loves having it, it was by far a favorite gift. Set up was easy and it was working as soon as I completed the activation (we got the t mobile version - make sure you pay extra attention to which one you purchase as some of them are made for different carriers). The app that goes on the parents phone is easy to use and I love that you choose who they can communicate with via text AND/OR call. The ringer is loud and the calls come in clear. Like many others, the location accuracy is not the best. It picks up off of nearby cellular towers pretty often which can show your kiddo miles from where they should be. That’s the only downfall I have found. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase!
