Noguchi Paper Lamp, Akari Floor Lamp, Japanese Lantern Ideal for Bedside, Living Room, and Japandi Décor (Noguchi Table Lamp)

I ordered this for my college daughter’s apartment. She placed it on her desk and loves it. I love that the style is reminiscent of her Asian heritage (grandmother is Japanese). Assembly is required, however she says it took approx 30 seconds. Directions are legible (in English) and a light bulb is conveniently included. There are three settings, becoming progressively warmer in brightness. In the images included, the lamp is on the brightest setting. Also In the photo is a 32 oz water bottle for size comparison. She enjoys this lamp immensely but her only issue is that it doesn’t have rubber bottoms or any type of “stoppers” on the legs. Because of this, depending on what surface it’s placed, it may slide around. I’ll leave this to my husband to remedy. I received this through Amazon Vine at a reduced price in exchange for my review. I do feel the full price is fair especially for an excellent quality Noguchi style lamp. Often times the paper in these Askari lamps can be incredibly cheap and flimsy, but not for this one. At the time of this review, it’s 20% off. I’m tempted to surprise my daughter with one for her bedroom here at home (and one for my living area). Definitely recommend.

I bought this as a Mother’s Day gift for my sister, thinking it would be a beautiful, soft, warm Japandi-style lamp. The photos clearly show a cozy 2700K warm glow, but the actual light is bright, harsh, and cool-toned. It completely lacks the soft, inviting warmth you expect from this type of lamp and instead feels like a cheap office light. It totally stripped away any charm or ambiance. On top of that, setting it up was surprisingly difficult. The instructions were unclear, the paper shade was finicky and kept wanting to wrinkle or sag, and it took way longer than it should have. This ended up being an embarrassing gift. My sister politely thanked me but was clearly disappointed when we turned it on. For something marketed as a premium decorative lamp, the quality and light output are very misleading. Save your money — this is not worth it.

The light is a bit harsh and not warm as pictured. Also, the legs are uneven. It is a nice lamp, but not at this price or quality of material. I would advise buying elsewhere.

I got this table lamp for my guest room but it would also work really well in a kid's room. It's a rice paper lantern style lamp so I expected the rice paper part to be pretty delicate but it seems to be sturdy and thick enough that I didn't worry too much when inserting the frame. It's larger than I expected it to be, which was nice, since things always seem to be smaller in real life than their pics. It comes with a bulb and you turn it on and off using the switch that is attached to the cord. The frame itself is not that sturdy, but that is all in part of the design, since it's wire frame and all. It stands evenly enough by itself, but brush up against this and it will definitely move, so you'll want to put it somewhere away from accidental brushes.

Very clean and simple lamp. Carries a nice vibe and has three different light settings. There is a warm and a cold and one in between. I prefer the warmer light for my room and it pairs nicely with my other lamps. My only complaint would be that there isn’t an exact setting to change the warmth of the light, you need to turn it on and off to change the color. Other than that, this is a great product!

Overall, I think this lamp is great. It was easy to assemble, is well-designed, well-built, very bright. What I don't like: - no wattage information provided--the LED bulb might be 10w or 16w (no idea). although there's no wattage info, the E26 bulb can be swapped out to another one (so at least there's that.) - there is NO memory function.... I want this light to be a warm white, but every time I turn it off and on with my Alexa-enabled smart plug, it turns on as a bright, daylight white. again, I guess I can swap the bulb out. Overall, I like this light, but it just isn't what I expected. All of the info is there on the description so I can't unfairly knock em for it. If my dislikes are no issue to you, you'll really like this lamp. For the other reviewer saying that it knocks down easily, I don't have that issue. Yes, it's very lightweight and if you hit it, it will knockdown--but for me, it's not in a place where it gets hit or anything. Also, mine doesn't flicker. Not sure what they're talking about with this one either.
