Caliart Acrylic Paint Set of 42 Colors with 12 Brushes

I love this pastel acrylic paint set. I usually prefer softer accent colors when I paint, so I was happy to find a full set of pastel shades. There is enough variety in this set that I often use it on its own for a project, but the colors also work well with other acrylic paints I already have when I want to mix in additional shades. What I like: • Beautiful pastel color selection • Soft, pretty shades without being too bold or harsh • Dries with a matte, non-glossy finish • Great for lighter accent colors and softer designs • Good variety within the pastel range • Some colors are similar, but the slight shade differences are useful • Works well on my painting projects • Works well with a small amount of water or with acrylic mediums when I need to adjust the consistency • Helpful when matching or coordinating softer colors • Nice addition to an acrylic paint collection • Comes with brushes, which is convenient • Would make a nice gift for someone crafty Things to be aware of: • These dry matte, not shiny or shimmery • If you want a glossy finished look, you will need to add a glossy clear coat • I use a glossy clear coat spray for acrylic paint when I want shine • If I want a flat/non-glossy finish, I use a matte clear coat spray instead • I only use a little water when thinning acrylic paint; if I need to thin it more, I use an acrylic medium instead • Some shades are close to each other, so this may not be the set for someone wanting a very bold color range • Like most paint, the color can look slightly different wet than it does once dry • I recommend testing or swatching the colors before starting a project My tip: Since paint color can change a little from wet to dry, I used a small-tipped paint brush to add a dot of each paint color to the matching cap. Once the dots dried, I could see the true dried color from the top of each bottle. I keep the paints in the box they came in, so this saves time and makes it easier to find the color I want without pulling out every bottle. Overall: I am very happy with this pastel acrylic paint set. The colors are soft, pretty, and matte, which is exactly the type of look I usually like for painting projects. I appreciate having enough pastel shades that I can often use this set by itself, while still being able to combine the colors with other acrylic paints when I need something different. If I want a shiny finish, I add a glossy clear coat spray made for acrylic paint. This is a great set for crafting, painting, or gifting to someone who likes art supplies.

I purchased the Caliart 24 Colors Acrylic Paint Set for my child who enjoys arts and crafts projects at home. I wanted something with a wide range of colors that wasn’t overly expensive but still good quality. The set arrived well packaged, and all the bottles were sealed properly with no leaks. The 24 colors offer a nice variety — including bright shades that kids tend to gravitate toward. The paints are easy to squeeze and not overly thick, which makes them manageable for younger hands. The consistency works well for canvas, paper, and small craft projects. The colors show up nicely, though on darker surfaces we found that applying a second coat gives better coverage. They also dry fairly quickly, which helps avoid smudging. The included brushes are a helpful bonus. They’re not professional-grade, but they’re perfectly fine for kids or beginner-level painting. For more detailed artwork, you may want additional brushes, but for basic use this set is complete as is. This is a practical and budget-friendly acrylic paint set for kids, beginners, or casual hobby use. I’m happy with the purchase and would consider buying it again for future projects.

Great acrylic paint set! I love the variety of colors, and the paints are vibrant and easy to work with. The included brushes are a nice bonus and make this a great all-in-one set. Perfect for crafts, painting projects, and beginners. Great quality for the price—I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it!

Just adding to my color collections of paints and inks for scrapbooking and card making. Beautiful colors and the price right.

They weren't dry prior to opening up them. Each one has a tab before you can use them. They do sometimes come out faster than others in the box. I love the vibrant and different colors. This was worth my money. I use them on air dry clay. I havent had any issues with them.
