I would say this stuff definitely works. I have a curl pattern but I've been too lazy /annoyed with my hair to really bother with a "curly girl" routine. Plus my hair never seems to do what I want even if I follow the curly girl routine very closely. I do like that this spray seems to cut through all that nonsense and just "get to the point." After I showered and towel-dried my hair thoroughly, I sprayed a LOT of this product all over my hair, even flipping my hair upside down and spraying the underneaths. I tried to treat separate sections without actually clipping my hair into separate sections. Then I slept in my damp hair overnight. I woke up with sort of a bird's nest. I know that's probably because I slept in wet hair, so I don't blame the product. I could tell the product gave my locks more distinction. I think they would have been much frizzier without the product. The top of my head especially was not frizzy in the slightest. And all of my hair strands felt soft and smooth. I'm going to work on my technique and try to use this product and let my hair air-dry well in advance of bedtime so I can get a better sense of what my curls can really do when I'm not tossing and turning on them and applying friction. (Yes, I used a silk bonnet but it slid off overnight.) I definitely do think this product works exactly as expected. For those of you whose curls are stronger, more robust, and actually are "stubborn" about forming a curl, I think you will love this product. It's going to add definition and smoothness while also supporting your curly texture. No "crunch." Keep in mind I used NO other products. Just this one. I truly think their stated goal of replacing the entire curly girl routine is not that far-fetched.

I really like Dream Coat for Curly Hair overall. It does a great job controlling frizz and making my curls look smooth, defined, and polished. My hair feels soft and lightweight, not crunchy or sticky, which I appreciate. Also my second and third day hair still looks great with a little water on it to refresh. There isn't really a scent to it which is nice. I’m giving it four stars because it doesn’t give me big, bouncy curls unless I use a diffuser. Without diffusing, my curls look nice but a bit more relaxed and not as much volume. With the right technique, though, it works really well, and I’d still recommend it for anyone looking for frizz control and curl definition.

Excellent product! This really does help release my curls & leaves them soft, moisturized & lasts for a couple of days - I just rewet my hair a bit & curls are back to life!

This is the first time I have purchased this product. I have used it only 2 times, so far it seems to work very well. I like that my curls do not feel weighed down or crunchy when I use it. So far I have not seen any kind of grey or whiteish residue showing up on my hair after the product has dried. My hair does not look or feel greasy. It feels soft and appears to have a little bit more of what I call the “natural healthy hair shine”, mind you not like the blinding bright healthy hair shine like the straight hair beauties have. Just the curly version of natural healthy hair shine. If we had that straight hair shine with curls it would look like light reflecting off of a disco ball or something. If I experience any incredible or significant changes any time while using this product, I will come back and add an update to my review. As of now I will say for me and my hair, this product has brought about no miraculous transformations. It is a nice product, as far as how this product performs or works… I would say equally as well as numerous other nice products, some of which cost less than this particular product and others that cost more. I have nothing negative to say about this product at all. A product that does not work well for me does not mean it will not work well for someone else. I do not think I am the only person who has a cabinet filled with numerous bottles, tubs, and tubes, in many different shapes, sizes, colors, scents, textures, consistencies, that were to be used and applied many different ways, and were purchased for all different prices from $1 up to $150-$175, that I tried but that did not work good with my hair, that I occasionally clear out and give to family, friends, or that I donate and it works great for someone else. So if you want to try this product by all means buy it and give it a whirl. It may be the best product you’ve ever used.

After 48 years of curls I can say that I am thrilled with this product! After years of using two products a cream and gel to achieve the same results I can say that not only is this easier but each and every curl is defined and voluminous! Often is it a struggle to obtain both volume and definition. This product is also great for travel as you only need to pack the one item. My curls are 3a-3b and this product is the best I’ve ever used.

This product is excellent! I use to have very curly hair. I’m 74 as I got older my hair started to get thin and it was loosing its curl. I was going to get a perm. (Go figure I hate my curls in my teens.) I tried a lot of products to get curls back. I bought WOW and WOW did it bring my curls back. I’m gonna have to stock up on it.

I have never tried the "original" spray, just this one for curls. So I do not have that one for comparison. I only gave this 3 stars- I actually do like it a lot but do to the couple of drawbacks I have with it, I doubt I would by it again. I rarely, if ever, have had a curl enhancer that did not provide any sort of hold that actually kept definition in my hair. So I was a bit doubtful this would but I gave it a try anyway. Well, it does not keep it's definition AT ALL unless I have a good hold of some sort - gel, mousse, hair spray, etc. The first time I tried it, I wanted to test it without any hold. Things were going good and my curls actually looked super pretty. I took my dog for a walk and came back to super frizz and hardly any curl definition. I am not even exaggerating. It wasn't windy outside but there was a good amount of humidity, so I am sure that was the main reason - it's humid here more than not. Next time I tried the same but using a diffuser/dryer. Same thing happened. I have tried using it with a dryer and a round brush for large, smooth curls and that does look really nice but I don't want to always style my hair like that. Since those tries, I make sure to always use a really good hold. This spray does still make a difference in the appearance and curl definition, even though I add other product. In fact a really pretty shape and a lot of shine. I love the way it looks but I also find that I have to use a ton of it (I have very thick hair). So I started saving it only for times when I want my hair to look extra nice - like going out and such - since I cant afford to go through this quickly and buy it again so often. I may eventually get more if I want to have it for a special occasion or something but for the most part I will just use my regular curl product. Though, I am now intrigued to try the original spray for the times that I straighten my hair - so I plan to get that soon!
