Very Useful and Comfortable
Bought the one with replaceable batteries, handy if I need to bring along extra sets. I can use hazardous-waste-disposable Duracells or rechargeable batteries. They also have models with a built-in rechargeable battery. Anyway, it is just incredibly convenient to have this on my head so that my hands are free. The variable intensities and night modes are useful, too. Adjustable headband, of course. It's comfortable. I've had to be reminded I was still wearing it.

Can be unreliable
No clue how, but the piece of plastic that attaches the lamp to the backplate and lets it tilt broke. Definitely will be looking for a different lamp in the future. I've generally enjoyed my time with this. But I think that's because I find headlamps in general useful versus enjoying the quality of this product specifically. I've grown increasingly frustrated with this headlamp, which has proved itself occasionally unreliable. * I've tried disposable alkaline and lithium, and rechargeable NiOH and lithium batteries. I'd be lucky to get to 3h hours of runtime before it turns off. And even before then, the luminosity will quickly drop to 50-75% of the peak. * I spent a couple weeks where my unit would inconsistently turn on or off. It turns out that there was some cruft on the battery terminal, which I'm pretty sure came from sweat intrusion. * I tried to use my unit in warm weather (90-100F), but it would die 15 minutes after putting in fresh batteries. * I have no clue who certified IPX8 for this. I've needed to rinse it off, assumine that it'd be okay due to the IP rating. Then I'd later open the battery compartment and its full of water. I'll probably be relegating this to my "around the house" lamp and looking for something more reliable for outdoors stuff.

Do not point at eyes
I trust the brand with my climbing gear, and now it lights the way as well. Nice item, it didn't open as easily as I had hoped, but the back is attached, so it's all one peice, and it simply takes the proper technique to open the battery compartment. The different functions are nice, a little learning curve, Is it worth 50 bucks? I think so, it's the last headlamp I'll need.

Bright and lightweight
Preferred a battery driven device over the chargeables. Great value for the money, multiple brightness settings and durable with consistent usage each morning and evening during my thru hike. With proper management, lithium batteries do not require constant replacement.

Great battery powered headlamp.
I love this headlamp. I was tired of my rechargeable batteries always dying when I needed them most. The battery life seems great in these. If I had one complaint it would be too many settings for different light patterns. I really just need 1 or 2 but thatโs just my preference.
