Expensive but WORTH IT if you struggle with other bars
These are really, really good. Iโm not into fitness and I will NOT choke down things I hate. Iโm in late middle age tho, and my doctor wants me to cut the sugar and carbs. I am HAPPY to eat these. The texture is good, the flavor is GREAT, and I donโt at all feel like Iโm punishing myself when I eat them. The perfect cure for my late-day cookie cravings. Downside: the variety box is a gamble. It didnโt contain the flavors it said it would. I donโt care, theyโre delicious. The other downside: Holy crap, these are pricey. Honestly tho, how much is a miracle worth? Much like the $6 croissants from Hero, being able to keep treats in my diet is SUCH a luxury. And itโs DEFINITELY cheaper than getting diabetes.

Great Way to Try All the Flavors!
I love the David Protein Bar Variety Pack! Itโs a good way to try out different flavors. Each bar has 28g of protein, just 150 calories and comes with 0g of sugar making them a great choice for anyone looking for a high-protein, low-carb snack. They really help me stay on track with my fitness goals! Fudge Brownie: The texture is so soft and chewy, and the chocolate flavor is rich it really tastes just like a brownie! Cake Batter: This one has a sweet, cake-like flavor that makes me feel like Iโm treating myself to a little slice of birthday cake! Blueberry Pie: Iโm a huge fan of this flavor it has that perfect mix of sweet and slightly tart. Itโs definitely my favorite! Salted Peanut Butter: This bar has a rich, nutty flavor with just the right pinch of salt to balance out the sweetness. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk: Itโs a blend of rich peanut butter and chocolate that feels almost like a candy bar so good. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: This one is packed with a sweet cookie dough flavor and little chocolate chunks that make it feel like a treat. Overall, these bars are perfect for muscle recovery and keeping me feeling full longer. With 150 calories, they help me stay on track with my fitness goals, and being sugar-free and low-carb makes them a good fit for keto and low-carb diets.

excellent if all you care about are the macros
Normally I eat Quest protein bars. They're available almost everywhere, they cost about as much as most other protein bars, lots of different flavors, and have what I consider to be acceptable marcos. I also like Barebells, because those are close enough to a "real" candy bar to feel almost like a treat and not just a way to get some extra protein. There are bars that taste better than both Quest and Barebells, but they probably have more calories and/or less protein. I try to benchmark off of ~200 calorie, ~20g protein, and there are a lot of options at those levels. Beyond that, everything is subjective when it comes to taste and texture and whatever else. That said, these David bars are weird if you're used to the denser options on the market. The bar itself is very light and fluffy, which I was not expecting, and that is true for all the flavors in the variety pack. Of all the flavors, they fell into two groups for me - 3 that I would eat again and 3 that I would not. I would put Fudge Brownie at the top. I think I feel this way because the bar itself is chocolate, and the two PB options, Cookie Dough and Cake Batter are all pretty similar. Regardless, it is my easy winner of the 6. Cookie Dough and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk tasted basically the same to me, but I still liked them and did not feel like it was a chore to eat them. So these 3 would work fine as things I could eat regularly (1 bar a day). As for the rest, Blueberry Pie was actually good as well, but I just don't think I would want to have that one all the time. Cake Batter I did not enjoy and Salted Peanut Butter was just like Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk but with salty crunchy bits mixed in and no chocolate. In any case, those just did not do it for me and I would not try them again. However, I'm not aware of anything else on the market that can do 28 grams of protein at 150 calories. If you are chasing macros or are in calorie deficit or just really watching your calorie intake, then freeing up 50 calories while getting 8 additional grams of protein is a pretty big deal. I think a lot of people would put up with stuff that tastes a lot grosser than any of these bars to get that. Lastly, the price on this is definitely on the higher side, but what do you expect? Until/unless other companies start selling bars with similar macros, it seems like it is worth it to pay a premium if this is a thing you care about.

David, how could you?
I first tried David bars last year sometime when they first came out, and did enjoy them, though didnโt reorder because of the price. But lately Iโve been seeing a bunch of ads for them which put them back on my radar, so decided to order the variety pack to try them again. The good news? They all tasted amazing. I loved the taste, especially the salted peanut butter. The texture was absolutely awesome, just about the best bar Iโve ever tried. I admit the blueberry tasted nothing at all like blueberry but was tasty in its own right as long as you didnโt think of it as blueberry. I was all ready to look into seeing if there were sample packs of the cinnamon roll and the red velvet, the two flavors i hadnโt tried. But then the bad news. :-( I had checked ingredients when I bought them last year but hadnโt bothered to recheck again with this new batch, but when I did I found they now contain maltitol, sucralose, and ace-K. I will never willingly touch maltitol ever! What a bummer. Iโm so disappointed. Not to mention, Iโm also T2 diabetic and these bars raise my BG by 30-40 points. So, sadly, I wonโt be ordering David again unless things change. But keeping it 3 stars since taste and texture is amazing and if you want a good protein hit and donโt mind the new sweeteners you might be happy with these bars.

No thanks.
All the reviews are about delivery issues; this has nothing to do with the product. Not helpful. Having said that, these were nothing like the adverts- consistency of sticky clay, horrible mouth feel and a flat, unappealing flavor. To be fair, I tried the cookie dough and peanut butter chocolate chunk flavors. The latter was barely more palatable but in the end, this just isnโt real food. You want a filling protein bomb without fiber, flavor or sugar? This is for you.

Tasty way to get protein
Very tasty compared to other protein bars, and they are very fresh. I like the amount of protein in the bar.

Partially Bad First Experience.
The taste varies between great and okay. The macros are amazing, and it is fulfilling. But unfortunately, today i opended the peanut butter chunk flavor, I saw small green dots, I thought it might be part of it, but when I took the first but i immedietly regreted it, it was rotten, and I almost threw up my entire lunch. All the other flavors were fine, except this one, disgusting. I kept it in the fridge aways, so i'm sure it was shipped like this.
