Gueray Portable CD Player CD Dsicman: with Earphones CD Player for Car with Anti-Skip Shockproof with LCD Display Support PROG

Imagine my dismay when I went automobile shopping recently and found out you can't get a CD player in a car anymore. Millions and millions of people still listen to CDs! Anyway, I can't fight The Man, but I can plug a portable CD player into the aux port. I decided on the Gueray player for affordability and because it has a rechargeable battery, and the unit does what I need it to. It comes with an aux cable and a USB charging cable, so it's ready to go out of the box. It sounds good and has plenty of bottom end (all portable CD players should sound the same when plugged into a the same sound system. It's the amplifier and speakers that give you the sound quality or lack thereof). It only needed an hour to charge, and I drove around all week listening to music without having to recharge (5 hours at least, probably closer to 7). I set it on the flat part of the center console just under the AC controls, though your car may not have the same flat space there. The aux cable should be long enough to lay the player on the passenger seat if you have to. It's easy enough to get used to the volume wheel and the open button. When driving, you have to pick the player up from underneath with your right hand and push the open button forward with your thumb. No learning curve there. The buttons and wheels are easy to feel and in sensible locations on the unit. One thing I like is that the lid opens sideways instead of flipping back. Imagine the player is sitting in the center console area between the base of your dashboard and your shifter. If the lid flipped back (i.e., opened toward the shifter), it would be distracting to drive and take the disc out at the same time. The shifter would be in the way, and you'd have to slide the CD toward yourself. This unit places the lid hinge toward the driver and opens toward the passenger door. Trust me, it's simpler to lift the disc out sideways and put it back in a sleeve or case. It sounds trivial, but it makes the motion far less awkward.

I have used this awesome player for several weeks. It easily hooked up to my aux outlet in my car. The sound is beautiful. This also does not skip when going over bumpy roads or even a railroad track. It also uses my phone charger. Wonderful item for playing my cds.

the CD player worked great, but the earphones that came with it did not work. All that came out was a muffled sound. I got different earphones and its fine.

It’s working. Sounds fine. Used 2 AA batteries. Don’t know how long it lasts. It said it can be used when connecting to USB-C but doesn’t hold charge so it has to be kept connecting. I bought it to put all my kpop cds in used for at home and in the car and its compact size works so far. I think it’s ok for the price. Hope it lasts for a long time.

Nice product

Very poor sound - garbled and blown out sound at all volumes. Also, has a physical on/off switch that will drain batteries to empty if not turned to 'off', so one needs to be vigilant to physically turn it off when done. You get what you pay for with this one.

The CD player works and sounds great. No complaints. The service and price point was excellent as well. Am only giving it 3 stars because the cables are the typical budget cables manufacturers always include. The audio cable is a typical low end budget cable. Ho-Hum. The kicker is the power cable has already split at both ends. No power, no battery charging. As an audiofile, it's no biggie, am used to replacing cables, better cables equal better sound and performance. That said, the player is fine. but spend the extra $10 or so, and buy a stronger power cable, and a more sound conducive audio cable. Use the cables they send as a back up. I wouldn't let this detour anyone from buying this product. Every company cheaps out on the cables. The player, price and service is more than acceptable.

I purchased this after I previously purchased a different one from a different company here on Amazon. Although the price on Amazon was close to ten dollars less than this one, the overall quality was so much less. I'm an avid review reader and although I did my "due diligence" on the first one and was disappointed, I of course had read many ones for this too. However with this product, I was not the least bit disappointed!! Actually I was very impressed and I'll explain why. The little "remote control" is an awesome feature and is very helpful if you're using this item so you can still play CD's in your newer car. The volume control is also part of it so you don't have to fumble around trying to find it, if you choose to use it. I just have it turned up all the way and adjust the volume from the media unit on the car. It's never skipped a CD and I like the way this one charges too! Seems to hold a charge for quite some time and I can notice the overall difference in the quality compared to the other one too. Now, about that sound. WOW!!!! While the other one had a very hallow sound and basically no bass at all, this one produces a nicely balanced sound and also a decent amount of bass as well. If you've actually read this review to this point, I imagine you've already decided to purchase it, but if not, I highly recommend doing so!!

Good sound easy to set up

El producto llego en perfecto estado en el tiempo de entrega previsto, y bien protegido en su interior. Se corresponde con un producto ligero y de tamaño reducido, con un sonido claro y limpio suficientemente potente, gracias a sus dos altavoces HI-FI incorporados. El reproductor de CD funciona perfectamente y lee sin problemas los CD-RW, otra características del reproductor, es que no hace ruido mecánico al reproducir CD. En la recepción de ayer lo estuve probando y he quedado altamente satisfecho con él. Es compatible con muchos formatos de audio digital, como MP3, WAV (en 16 y 32 bits), etc..., el sonido es limpio sin interferencias o ruidos de fondo, trae una batería incorporada de 4000 Mah de larga duración, la función de radio cumple su prometido y permite sintonizar emisoras con una buena calidad de señal. El Bluetooth todavía no lo he probado, también incluye un mando a distancia para manejarlo dese el sofá y un temporizador de sueño para programar un apagado automático. En definitiva he quedado muy satisfecho con este producto, el fabricante a mejorado las funciones del reproductor con esta nueva actualización KC-606. Si buscas un dispositivo de tamaño reducido, ligero, y con amplia compatibilidad de archivos de audio digital, esta opción para ti puede ser una buena decisión. Te lo recomiendo.

The price is good value for what you get. The earphones supplied with it does a very good job at the mids range in the songs not so much on the very low end but that can be fixed with a decent pair of headphones or earphones. I find it best with the earphones supplied to listen to it with classical setting on the sound. This will have to do while I wait for my new headphones. Plays all your old CDs and cdrs and all that stuff. The downside it remembers your place on the CD doesn't matter what CD you change when you turn it off. And finally no need to go and buy batteries and find it. You can charge it and that's a plus. This is worth buying if you've got lots of CDs that you'll want to listen to.

Il prodotto si presenta elegante e di facile intuito per il funzionamento. Anche l’audio risulta molto buono. Forse potrebbe avvoltolare un po’ di polvere in basso, ma basta farci attenzione
