Embossed Leather Blue Stone 120 Page Unlined Journal with Clasp (Brown)

I have seen many mixed reviews here, But I must say that the Hand made book that I received here, is as unique & as beautiful as described. I am using it for one of my novels that I am writing, to be my personal copy within my library & the book that I received is well beyond any expectations. I have purchased many hand made leather books, & one thing I have come to expect, is that each of them will be a bit different as they are all hand made, so even in some the tones in the shade of coloring may vary, but none the less very beautiful & unique.. I highly recommend this seller as they are very prompt & Orders arrive in a very fast process.. Update on my review 10-14-2017 I love the journals so much that I purchased an additional 2 of these. While the first 2 that I ordered, were very high quality as stated above in my previous review; the latest 2 of this item was shipped from 2 different places & these last 2 were very poor in quality. It feels more like a thin piece of rubber with a thick plastic piece in place where the stone should be. I am highly disappointed with these last 2. However I do not waste my time trying to return any items that I purchase, they will serve as a scratch pad of ideas of what I will write in a real quality book and then dispose of the garbage scratch pads.. Very disappointed.. on the left is the high quality & on the right is the thin rubber garbage..

I was so shocked and stunned by the sheer quality of this journal when it came I made myself stop what I was doing to go write an immediate review. It is clearly hand made. I'm almost ashamed by how little I paid for it, and find myself wondering about the hands that sewed the paper into the binding....because yeah, it looks hand stitched....in a good way. I work with leather....it's clearly actual leather as the inside is still unburnished and "raw" looking, though the outside is tanned, stained and tooled. I'm seriously considering buying more for teacher Christmas gifts because they really would be fantastic prayer journals, or sketch books (the pages are unlined) or even a recipe book. It just looks like an heirloom.

Just as described. Real leather (yes cheap split grain), nice stone, hand made. If you like a lot of reviewers on here don't understand what handmade means. It means they are not all going to be the same. Revel in the fact that you have something original in your hands. It's price is awesome! The dimensions are in the description and if you are truely a spiritual person as a lot of the awe poor me reviews say then maybe you should re think your spirit. You received a cool looking hand made journal that you can put your thoughts in at a great price. Love and namaste' to all!!

The journal has an extremely unpleasant odor for some time however if you have had leather journals before this will not be unfamiliar to you, I believe it to be the product of the tanning process. It will offgas for several days but afterwards it will be mostly odorless. The page quality is excellent and there is no bleedthrough even when written on with wet-ink dip pens or wirh fountain pen. The lock and stone make left hand pages a little odd to write on as it does not lay flush with the table/desk. The stone is appealing to the eye but looks somewhat cheap and feels nearly plastic. However for the price range this is both acceptable and expected. It is a smaller journal than most, however this also makes it very easy to transport. There is some wear where the pages are joined to the book and so there is some cause for concern that it may eventually tear off some pages. Better journals exist but for the price this is sold for it is entirely adequate.

I received a book similar to the picture, but it came with the leather string wrap instead of the locking mechanism. In the product description it states "It has an antiqued brass swing clasp to keep your secrets from prying eyes." Mine did not come with the brass lock. It's not as sore a spot as you'd think because this thing is beautiful! The leather detail is insane and everything about it is perfect. I might even like the string closure better because it gives it a very rustic feeling. I've never had a journal that makes me so excited. The paper is heavyweight with light texture and I love the jagged edge mismatch. The leather cover makes the book flexible. The blue stone has very slight gold flecks in it and I've read that the stone varies from order to order. It has a very organic ancient feeling to it. I can't wait to throw some words and pictures in it! Thank you!

The stone in the middle is beautiful. The craftsmanship is good especially for the price. Other reviews state it is a low quality item, and though quality does vary, so does leather. As someone who works with leather regularly, I can tell you that every piece of leather behaves differently. Some leather absorbs the color stain better whereas others do not; this is the reasoning why some of the notebooks may have discolorations on the cover. Natural blemishes also occur in leather such as breaks, lines and pores, as well as scarring. Keep in mind you are paying less than 10 dollars for a leather notebook, you wont get perfection, but you will get a good looking book for the price. If you are looking for something without stains, blemishes, or perfect assembly then you will probably have to dish out a lot more money.

The product itself is fine. It was not big enough for me. This is not a notebook size. More like a small book size. As I said, they product is fine. It was too small for my needs.

Very beautiful. feels durable, but time will tell for durability, I bought two hoping I would get different designs based on what I saw in the reviews of every one basically get a completely different book, but alas I got the same one twice, the only difference is one is dyed a bit darker. The paper is nice an thick, pens an highlights don’t blead thought it. An it’s a nice size, I thought it would be to small for a diary but it’s perfect, I love it, an will treasure it always. I just hope if I order one more I get a different design on the journal

Pretty good product. If you are looking to write in it with a calligraphy pen, the pages are great. Just be careful if you are looking to write with a ballpoint pen as it might be difficult, the pages are a bit rough.

I bought this fine leather-bound book as a prop for a short horror film I was making. I needed some spooky stuff with which to fill the pages so I sat up all night researching ancient languages, hyrogliphs and runes, spells and incantations. I found one with which I was particularly taken and in a fever began to enscribe it upon the first page. Upon finishing I was taken by a queer sensation as if falling, and the room around me began to disappear. Only the book remained; black seas of infinity poured from its pages and I was carried upon them to a nether realm beyond space and time and body. A voice began to speak. Calm and quiet yet all knowing and terrible, containing power beyond human understanding. "Fill the book and restore the Great Old Ones. Fill the book and fulfill your destiny... Fulfill the fate of men." Suddenly I was back in my chambers. The book opened itself and strange dark arts were projected upon the page. I began to trace out these ancient symbols and fullfil my destiny. But no sooner had I began than I was interrupted by an email from the Great terrible Eldritch entity Amazon.com asking if I could review my purchase and threatening unspeakable horrors if I failed to do so. So here I am: 5 stars. Would recommend to a friend. Not that such trivialities will be of any consequence much longer.

Veramente un ottimo prodotto, l'ho regalato ad un mio amico per natale, per una campagna GDR di D&D, per usarlo come taccuino per l'avvenuta. Il prodotto è molto curato, fatto bene e l'odore della pelle è inconfondibile come la qualità, molto alta. Un regalo semplice ma molto grazioso.

La verdad el diseño me molado bastante y tanto la calidad como el precio son perfectos.

Es justo el tipo de diario que buscando, algo de buena calidad, hecho a mano, para poder tener algunos manosscritos de caligrafía... sin duda voy a comprar otros ... Felicidades.
