Effective Hair Regrowth Without the Fuss!”
I’ve been using the iRestore Essential for just a couple of weeks, and I’m already seeing encouraging changes! I’ve noticed new baby hairs starting to grow, and the thinning areas on my scalp look less visible. The design is comfortable, easy to use, and fits perfectly into my routine. It’s exciting to see real progress so soon. I can’t wait to see even better results with continued use. If you’re looking for a gentle, effective, hands-free solution for healthier hair growth, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Easy to Use & Excited to See Results
I’ve been using the iRestore helmet for a little while now, so it’s still early, but so far I’m hopeful! It’s really easy to use while doing things around the house and more comfortable than I expected. Too soon to say major results yet, but I’m excited to keep using it consistently.

On my hair journey!!
I have been using the IRestore’s Essential for several weeks now. My hair is feeling thicker. The IRestore’s is very easy to use and takes just a short amount of your time. I also see a bit of baby hairs growing in my bald spots. I am taking a slew of vitamins and a DHT blocker, not sure if it’s the IRestore, the vitamins or a combination of both… but I do see signs of improvement!!! Update….iRESTORE is so easy to use and I definitely see my hair improving, Hairs are growing where it use to be bald!!!

Unlikely to Work for Most Customers; Cheaper Alternatives Exist
I purchased an iRestore Essential in early December of 2024 and used it precisely as prescribed for a year, before the lights no longer worked. With this product, please be aware some of the lights are only LEDs--not laser lights. I contacted iRestore and asked if my product might need a new power pack. They told me they would escalate my concern and I would be hearing from them within two days. I never heard from them. I contacted them again a week later, and this time they did contact me two days after I contacted them to let me know they had again escalated my request. After a week of no additional contact, I contacted them again, this time via the same representative who had sent me an e-mail. I never heard back from the representative. I rate their customer service as one star out of five. As for the product, before I started using it, I had a picture taken of my bald spot. After I began using iRestore, I had a picture of that same spot taken at the end of each month. At the end of the year, I compared all of the pictures. None showed a single new hair or any signs of stronger or fuller hair. It may be that for certain types of hair loss this product may work, but before you buy this, I highly recommend reading reviews on another site. What I found when I did that--foolishly after buying the product--that at a clip of about fifty to one, customers considered their iRestore device a scam. I appreciate the desire to do something about your hair loss, as doing something feels better than doing nothing, even if that something isn't working, but before you shell out a lot of money for a product that has only the smallest chance of working, I suggest a much cheaper option that has much greater chance of success. This is option is a combination of products--pumpkin seed oil, minoxidil, and microneedling (with at least 1.0mm needles). Research has shown the zinc, iron, magnesium and omega-6 fatty acids in the pumpkin seed oil can help with hair loss. Minoxidil has long been recommended for hair loss. Microneedling is a somewhat newer technique for hair loss but has consistently high reviews against a broad spectrum of neutral sites for working to regrow hair. Combined, these options provide an affordable and potentially effective solution for hair regrowth. iRestore will almost certainly not work for you, and it will do so at an exorbitant cost.

It really works!!
I have tried many remedies to improve my thinning hair over the years. Here is my story that describes what worked and what didn't work for me. Bottom line about the laser cap: it works! - in combination with other treatments, as I will report. I am a female, mid 70s, never had thick hair, but it started thinning severely after menopause. Several years ago, when my hair loss became really noticeable I decided to go for hair transplant surgery. I knew it would take 12 to 18 months for the hair to grow back in, but I got impatient within a couple months and started using minoxidil (5% foam) once a day in the area on top of my head where thinning was worst. After about a year the results were looking pretty good. For several more years I continued using minoxidil, but eventually it was clear I was once again losing hair. Obviously the hair transplant worked initially but did not give permanent improvement, and the minoxidil was not sufficient to prevent hair loss. I lost faith in minoxidil at this point, and switched to the popularly advertised supplement Viviscal. I used Viviscal faithfully for a full year (stopping minoxidil). I saw that my hair loss got much worse over this time. I was seeing severe bald spots on top of my head and was pretty desperate. My conclusion about Viviscal is that it had absolutely no beneficial result in my experience. Based on my experience so far, I concluded that the surgery worked, but the results were not permanent. My underlying condition caused me to still lose hair. I believe minoxidil probably slowed the rate of hair loss somewhat. I reached that conclusion since after I stopped minoxidil completely and switched to Vivisical, the rate of hair loss became much worse. After that year using Viviscal I was pretty desperate and decided to try the laser cap. This was 6 months ago. I stopped Viviscal, went back to using minoxidil same way as before (5% foam once a day), and started using the laser cap as instructed, 25 minutes every other day. I also started taking a biotin supplement (5 mg per day) at the same time. The way I gauge hair loss is by "combing" my wet hair with my fingers every morning and checking how much hair comes out on my fingers. During the Viviscal days, my daily hair loss was significant. Within a few weeks of starting the laser cap/ minoxidil/ biotin hair loss dropped a lot, and within a few months it dropped to virtually zero. I will say that I found the minoxidil led to pretty significant dandruff and scalp itching within about a month's time. I switched to a popular dandruff shampoo and increased my hair-washing frequency to 4-5 times a week. The dandruff & itching came under control pretty quickly and has not been a problem since then. After about 3 months of using the laser cap I started to feel a little fuzziness under my fingertips when I rubbed the top of my head and thought it might be a sign of new hair growth. I started to see gray hairs emerging and had to color my hair a little more quickly than I normally would. But that was a good thing! After 6 months, I am definitely seeing good hair growth on top of my head. Other people, including my doctor, have also commented that my hair is looking better. However – and this is interesting – I realized my hair is quite thin in the upper back of my head, where I was not using minoxidil (even though the laser cap does hit that region). I also notice some other thin hair areas in spots where I was not applying minoxidil. This leads me to believe it is the combination of the laser cap and minoxidil that gives the good result. I am now using minoxidil over a larger area. I hope to see improvements in these other thinning areas over the next several months and will update this review. I feel like there is a farming analogy here – when you are farming you have to first prepare the soil by tilling or aerating or something like that. You also need fertilizer. I see the laser cap as "preparing the soil" and the minoxidil as the "fertilizer". Not sure about the biotin contribution but I continue to use it. I plan to keep using the laser cap indefinitely but probably after I feel I have reached my personal best for hair growth I will cut back on minoxidil. If hair loss starts to become apparent I think I will notice it right away and can increase the minoxidil. One complaint I have about the laser cap is that it does not stay in place during use unless I keep my face pointed slightly downward (which is awkward). If I face forward, the cap tends to slip to the back and fall off unless I hold it in place. There should be a better way of keeping the cap from slipping backward when the user is facing forward. I also have a concern about the power cord. No matter how careful I am with it, the cord forms "kinks" which I have to carefully untwist every time. So far this has not caused a problem but I think that eventually this could be a failure mechanism. I would suggest either a different type of wire that does not kink so easily, or else change the design so the wire can be easily replaced if it becomes necessary. I am very pleased with my hair growth using the laser cap.

This thing is legit, looks like a super hair growing machine. I’m ready to get back these luscious locks. Great price for such a futuristic device, but simple to use. Great hair here I come!!!

Helped a little but at a cost
Okay, where do I begin with this? Of all the red light therapy hair restoration helmets, I chose this one because it wasn't the cheapest but not the most expensive, and seemed like it had the most potential. When I ordered this, it also had a deal that came with the supplement that you can take internally. I used this in conjunction with the hair supplement, some minoxidil foam, and some other vitamins and minerals that are recommended to nurture hair from the inside. I completed about 10 treatments with this, using it every other day for about 20 minutes a day. This started to give me migraines. I actually wasn't having any migraines for a long time before using this, and this triggered them almost immediately. It was to the point that I was missing full days from being in bed. Initially, I didn't know what it was, but this was the only thing that I was doing differently. As soon as I stopped and gave it about 2 days after stopping, the migraines also stopped, and I have not had them since. A quick Google search did tell me that red light sensitivity is a thing for people already prone to migraines. With that being said, I could not continue to use this. However, I took before and after photos a few months after and did notice a difference in what seems like new hair. After I stopped using the helmet, I did continue to take the supplements along with some other things to continue my journey, but I just could not use this any longer.

The answer you are looking for.
(Date of first use : 06/11/2018 ) First thing is first,...I do not work for the company, nor do I have a vested interest in whether you purchase this product or not. I am only writing this review, not for the manufacturer, but for you and others like you, that are suffering from hair loss. Alright,...let us begin. What you want to know is whether this device works, and if so, is it worth the money. Well,...I can tell you that it works, yes, it does benefit the reduction and also the regrowth of hair follicles. If you want to know that science of what the device does, you can see countless videos made that discuss what light therapy does to your scalp. Is it worth the cash? For me, it was. For you, well,..it's your money, so I can only suggest that it is cheaper and way less invasive that a hair transplant. Now, that being said, if you are bald and have not seen hair follicles in years, this device will not help you. If have thinning hair and want to make your hair thicker and regrow hair follicles that are not gone, but simply dormant, this device will do what it promises. I want to say two more things and then I am gone. First, you are going to find more expensive and also cheaper machines that promise the same thing as this device. DO YOUR RESEARCH. The more expensive ones are simply that, more expensive. The cheaper ones, well, they are trash. You'll find that the cheap ones are just l.e.d. bulbs and no laser. This type of device will do nothing but aggravate you and waste your time and money. Second thing, and this one you should really take to heart. This device alone, will only do so much. Think of this device as the sun. Think of your hair as the grass. Think of your scalp as the dirt. Your body, more importantly, what you put in it, feeds your scalp. My point is,...diet, namely yours. I'll use myself as an example. I don't smoke. I eat very healthy. I work out. I take the appropriate vitamins and minerals. I clean my scalp with a DHT blocker shampoo. I use a honey based conditioner. I do also use an over the counter minoxidil. Just know that it will not be one thing that saves you from your hair loss. It will be multiple things, the right things, that turn things around for you. Do your research and stay committed to a specific routine. I hope the very best for you as you go on this journey, but do something today, because once your hair is gone,...it's not going to come back on it's own. UPDATE : (Date - 08/05/2018) Where do I begin? My hair has had such a positive reaction to this device, I almost cannot believe what I am witnessing. My hair is thicker and is growing in areas, my crown and my receding front hair line, for the first time in over a decade. I don't know what else to say to you, if you are thinking about buying this device, but are hesitant. Just buy it. You will NOT regret it.

Beyond Thankful
I’m a 37 year old female who has been noticing steady hair loss since 35. I’ve tried every suggestion I could find on google and followed my dermatologist’s hair restoration recommendations to the letter. This includes special hair loss vitamins, prenatal vitamins, shampoos, minoxidil... Though minoxidil did work for a while (noticed new hair growth and slowing of hair loss), it maxed out. I started losing tons of hair in the shower again. As I’d walk through my condo, I’d feel hair brush the tops of my feet. I was losing so much!! My dermatologist said to start using minoxidil twice a day instead of once. I did, and I was still losing hair. This was hormonal and stress induced hair loss. Anytime I got a bit more stressed than usual, I’d lose more hair. I got the helmet and my hair has changed. It looks like it did in my early 20’s. I was known for my thick, shiny, long hair. But in the past couple years it has receded along my hair line (causing it to kink funny around my face) and a widened part was obvious in the back. That is all gone now. No visible part anywhere. Hair sprouted around my face. Best part is, I’m not losing it anymore. I used to collect it in the shower and ball it up to compare how much I would lose from previous days (actually I still do this). I keep a row of about 7-8 days prior to compare. The ball used to be as big as a gum ball. Now it’s not even big enough to ball it up sometimes!! Other times (like if I haven’t washed in a few days) it’ll be as big as a tic tac. I’ve been using it since Aug. 14, 2018 and it took about 3-4 weeks to stop losing hair. Oh yes, and I’ve stopped using the minoxidil about 4 weeks into using the helmet. My ponytail went from being barely the diameter of a nickel to now almost a quarter size thick! Also, since I began losing hair, I had been getting this wild bedhead. The bedhead is gone now. I’m so grateful for this product. My hair loss was causing me so much distress. I worried about it multiple times a day. Now, this is no longer a problem in my life. I have so much more space in my brain. There is one thing I do worry about... will this product stop working at some point? My minoxidil stopped after about 9 months. Maybe irestore can let me know?

Waited 7 months for definitive results before a review, it works
I have been using propecia for preventative hair loss for 15 years, cannot use minoxidil as I get a reaction to it, red flaky scalp even with the 2% solution. Though I was taking propecia I noted some increased hair loss the last couple years and wanted to add something to the regime. I did my research, and decided on laser therapy and bought the iRestore, the laser helmet I call it, and followed the simple routine of every other day 25 minutes, missing a day here or there and just carrying on the next day. I bought a hand held microscope to follow progress. I could see the microscopic white hairs in the follicles began to get thicker, longer and darker, especially around my temples and front of the hair line. At the back I noted more hairs per follicle adding to the thickness and covering more scalp. After 5 months I could tell the difference, but the real results came at the 7 month mark in the last 2 weeks when my wife was standing behind me and said the back of my head "was much better" and then a week later my stylist who I had not seen for 2.5 months said the same thing, and noted the new growth and thicker hair at the back. Now my wife uses the helmet too, friends bought the newest one, and I will keep it up as I still see further improvement as more of the microscopic hairs become more viable and the other new ones just keep getting better. As my hair is going gray I do color it which also helps the new little ones stand out. And in general the system seems to be benefitting the rest of my hair as well. The collage of pictures are as follows: 1 The dots are follicles with microscopic hair but at least they are alive 2 It is very faint but you may be able to see these tiny white hairs in this shot, these are what appear to get replaced with better thicker hairs 3 this is the outer edge of my hairline with little white hairs got darker and thicker 4 a mix of new hair with older established hair at the front edge of my hair line, yes the older established hair is much thicker but the little ones keep getting better and help the coverage 5 another outer edge of hairline with thickening hairs 6 same again this is not new per say but reinvigorated hair that was invisible before 7 sample of hair an inch into my hairline at the front to who how established hair looks, but in there are little ones and multiples coming our of a single follicle 8 is the back of my head in one of the worst spots now thicker (not great) but with multiple hairs in one follicle as well.
