Throw Raft TD2401 mounting bracket with hardware

Perfect for what I needed, ThrowRaft has excellent support!
Since technically you have to have the throwable out and available on a boat my size, we tried everything to keep that stupid square out of the way (yet accessible) and then I came across ThrowRaft. I purchased the actual raft directly from them (was much cheaper than Amazon) and the customer service (Troy) was excellent. My purchase was marked delivered by UPS, but it wasn't on my porch. I contacted them and they asked me to wait until Monday (it was Friday, after COB when Troy emailed me) and they'd get one sent out Monday. In the end it showed up before he could send a replacement, but it was a breath of fresh air to have a response like that these days. Now - onto the case. Yes, it is a bit large (the dimensions are on the product listing - read/measure before you complain people...can't believe somebody would take the time to 1-star a product because they can't read/measure), but it does what it is designed to. Make sure you read the instructions, where it clearly states to silicone seal the window and bolt holes. If not, you risk getting enough water, sea spray, rain, etc... in that you could trigger the device inside the container. I followed another reviewers installation method and went with 3M tape, that way you can mount it sideways and save about an inch of room.As far as the guy that said he was going to use a clip to hold this out in the open on a boat (sounds like a sailboat since he said cockpit), don't crap yourself when it gets wet and discharges randomly.

Mounting System Useless
The bolts provided were not long enough to connect to our railing and drilling the foam was a disaster. I had to purchase stainless u-bolts and drill new mounting holes on the case to make it work. It is in place now and is functioning the way it was supposed to , but don't count on installing it immediately out of the box - costly for an item that did not install as expected. Good news is that the case is large enough for the raft and a recharge package.

Over priced, lame instructions, needs waterproofing.
This should be about $20. All plastic. There was a little notice warning that the window and bolt holes should have sealant applied to keep moisture out and prevent inflation. There is a mounting block and four bolts. No rail mount hardware.

Box is not water proof
It's expensive when the throwable it self cost 125 .00 you would think it would have come with it and to top it all off it's not water resisted so when you mount it it has to be covered or you will go out to your boat after a light rain and see that the throwable has inflated and busted the box I just purchased now I'll have to get a new one and a refill kit

Yup keep it out of the way yet comply with the regulations.
I mounted it on the side of my center consule sideways so that you could walk by it easier. I used three rows of 3M mounting tape. To stick it and rolled in the old mounting holes with silicone.

A Mistake...
Huge, no, HUGE; takes up a lot of real estate in your boat. As a sailor a better solution for attaching the Throw Raft is using a snap link. Huge waste of money.

The klip is ferry tite need a strong jurk to open it
It is very neet and will save space, will keep the cockpit nice and tide life is more important than money. Love this it's better to keep your body out of the water and still have your life jacket on than trying to fit in to a ring and daing of hipertermia.

Protects but is oversized
Good holder if you have to room. It was too bulky for the application I needed.
