Built to be industrial quality but still very affordable
While looking at Leeko's new compartment organizer, I noticed this item in the items of products they were also selling. For $20 at the time of this review, I thought it would be a good investment for what appeared to be a very rugged tire gauge. When the product arrived, it certainly did not disappoint! This thing isn't just rugged --- it's industrial! I have never owned a tire gauge that had this much weight to it -- which is a good thing in that every piece of this product looks to be made from industrial grade materials. This is not your Grandfather's tire gauge.I am not the kind of person knows anything technical about these things, but with all its rubber, brass and hose, this is a product that is going to last forever. You can drop this thing from waist level and you are not going to damage it one bit. While the dial does indeed glow in the dark, you need to have the face illuminated with light (perhaps from your car interior) before effectively using it in the dark. The glow is fainter than I had hoped, but it is still absolutely readable in the darkness of night. One of the things I really like about this gauge which I have never seen before is that once you stick it into the valve of the tire to determine its pressure, the dial remains at the measured pressure after you remove it. That means you don't even have to be looking at the dial while you stick the gauge into the tire. Just insert it, take it out and read it like a thermometer. One of the included photos will show you that the gauge reading remains locked on the last measurement I took.By far, this is the most durable tire pressure gauge I have ever held in my hands. I am really amazed at how well built it is. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Good quality
I bought several of these to replace the ones my family keep losing out of the glovebox of our cars. I would have preferred to skip the valve caps and pay a little less. I paid a little more than I'm used to, but at about $8.00 each they seem to be a good deal. The brass parts are heavy and make a nice tight assembly. The diameter is a little larger than I prefer for glovebox storage but the gauges all read the same and measurements are repeatable with no ambiguity. A good gauge ought to outlast the car it's kept in. These seem to be up to the task.

GREAT gauge for price!
I don't know if this is up to mechanic/garage quality, but it's awesome to keep in your car/truck/van. I bought this because I just paid a WAD of cash on new tires. I messed up tires before running low air so I can't do that again. I can't read the little stick type gauges but I wasn't going to pay a bunch for a professional gauge. This gauge is priced right, as in cheap but it's pretty good quality, I was surprised in a good way. On this gauge the thing you put on the air stem is metal instead of cheap plastic, the hose is rubber, not cheap feeling to me. I didn't bang it on the ground but the gauge itself looks and feels pretty rugged, it is hard plastic with a kind of plastic guard around it. The numbers are big( I can see them without reading glasses) and glow in the dark, you can really see them good in the dark, hold it in the head light for a few seconds first to charge it up, DUH! Once you check the air the gauge pointer stays on the number, so you don't have to try and read the gauge all squatted down holding the thing on the tire stem. When you are done there is a little button at the top of rubber hose, this part is metal as well, you push it, a little puff of air comes out and the gauge goes back to zero. The air pump at the local gas station I use has a pressure gauge, I checked this gauge verses the gas station machine, they were the same. So, I guess it's accurate enough. I really like this thing, it works good, SUPER EASY, much easier than the stick type, super bargain, "almost" makes checking your tire pressure fun. 5 BIG STARS!!!

It.Just.Works.
I gave all of the drivers in our family electronic air gauges a while back, and most of them didn't make it through a year before crapping out. So this year I reverted back to brute force mechanical -- and I love it.The swivel end lets you have a convenient angle on the task, and the reading-lock lets you grab a reading and then stand up to actually look at it. The release for the dial-lock doubles as a means of letting air out of an overfilled tire,All in all, easier to use than the electronic widgets, even when they worked.

Great bargain Great product
I like this product. I bought this as a replacement to a unit that I had that was just like it except it had chrome steel fittings. The unit I had prior to this one worked well for the amount of time that it worked. That unit ended up failing and would not hold the air in the pressure gauge as it is supposed to, which allows you time to read it and then of course you have a button to release that held air. I am hoping that this one last longer however for the money even replacing the other one didn’t hurt my feelings. Nothing last forever anymore.

Nice Mechanical Air Pressure Gauge
I bought a few of these mechanical air pressure gauges because the battery-powered tire gauges I had would stop working due to the corroded battery inside them. So this is a great solution. The dial even glows! The little valve on the side of the stem is nice. This is a very sturdy device and should last many years. I have had a similar mechanical gauge that is still working for over 20 years, and I hope these will last as long. Great purchase !!!

All I got was PFFFSSST....
This product may have been faulty, but I'll never know. The chuck head would not seal on the valve stem, just letting air out of the tire. I tried many times, but the same result. Never got a reading. I replaced with another brand that touted a deeper chuck head, and sure enough, it worked the first time and every time. Returned.

easy, accurate, to use at the right price
I look for accuracy and reliability as well as ease of use. This tire pressure gauge is the tops. Well made for type of use. The swivel tip and the glow dial understand the use of this tool. The tire valve always at an unusual angle and need somehow always at night on a country road or roadside highway. The metal material makes it durable. The price is comparable to others of lesser value. No batteries needed as with digital gauges.
