Is motor medic mfd1 only for turbo and/or diesel engines or can it be used without issue on a non-turbo gasoline engine as well?

Yes it's great for non-turbo gasoline engines. It's more expensive than the regular Motor Medic MF3 motor flush but it's synthetic technology vs regular petroleum technology so I think it works better on newer cars.

What temperature should you use motor medic flush?

Drive for 15 minutes, then add the flash and run 10 minutes while parked and varying the RPM. Oil and filter are then changed. When the engine is at running temperature, any slug will be in a softer state that will make the flush work better. Note: If you have large amounts of slug within the engine, heavy deposits set free from the flush could clog oils ports. You should re-flush for a second time after you run the new oil for 10 in this case. Flushing an engine will help keep your oil and engine cleaner, but with engines that have never been flushed, have small oil leaks or high mileage could cause issues.

Add to a cold engine before changing oil and filter. Use entire bottle and Idle engine at normal speed for five minutes. DO NOT DRIVE VECHILE. Drain crankcase and remove oil filter and replace drain plug with new oil filter. On high mileage engines, remove and clean oil pan and oil screen.

Why does it work on idle, but comes with a warning "Don't rev or drive"? What is the risk? What is the difference between idle vs rev/drive?

These cleaners are designed to remove sludge and buildup that essentially is oil based. This inherently degrades the engine oils ability to lubricate, control temperature, corrosion etc. When you rev up the engine, or drive the car you are putting more load on the lubricated parts inside the engine. This is also the reason that you MUST drain out the oil after the flush AND change the filter.

2003 Saab Turbo. With 135,000 miles on it, my car was leaking tons of oil. The dealership diagnosed it had sticky piston rings, which caused high internal pressure from blow-by, causing oil to spew out of every seal there was. They proposed a total rebuild for an estimated $2,000 or suggested getting a used motor. Instead, I added Marvel Mystery Oil to my motor and drove for a week-about 300 miles. Then I flushed the motor with this GUNK Synthetic Flush, and then filled the motor with Mobil1 full synthetic oil. I honestly thought I might have caused greater damage to the motor because it instantly had a horrible smell of burning oil every time I drove. Then after another week or so, the smell went away, full power returned, and no more leaks! I couldn't believe it. Full power restored using only chemicals. Who knew?
