If you want mushroominess on steroids, this is the biz!
This Dried Porcini Mushroom Powder comes in a drum approximately 3.5 inches across by 3-and-a-bit inches high and while it doesn't weigh a lot, there's a fair bit of very fine, light, brown mushroom powder in it which, I am pleased to report, is nice and fresh and mushroomy. I was expecting to have to stir it into a liquid to use it but having used it a few times to make a spectacularly nice mushroom rice (plain rice with some finely chopped mushrooms cooked in butter and half a teaspoon of this powder stirred through everything) I can report that it mixes in very well when dry. I have tended to use it where I have wanted to max the mushroomy angle but I think it would be a good, subtle, tasty addition to sauces, stews, scrambled eggs and, as I write this I am pondering what would happen in homemade pasta or maybe dumplings. It is a little expensive but anything that has Porcini in it tends that way, and IMHO, that's just what you have to put up with if you, like me, are too chicken to trust your mycological prowess whilst out foraging....

Forget dried mushrooms. This is a game changer.
Used to my dried porcini mushrooms and use the liqueur to add to the risotto but were so expensive. Found this and was even better. No grit and such a good taste.

Improve the flavour of your meals.
Very good cooking flavouring for stews, pies and casserole. Adds depth to mushroom sauce and dressing. Divine with mushrooms and cream for the tastier English breakfast. Will buy again.

Tastes Good, Quality product, Good Value for money 😊 Add a Teaspoon at a time, to suit your taste preference. Do Not stir / disturb powder with your nose over open container,or you might breath fine powder in & cough like I did.

Fantastic for sauces
This mushroom powder is fantastic to have on hand. It only takes about half a teaspoon per serving to add a huge amount of flavor. I mostly use it when I'm making pan sauces on the fly.
