Slip-potted into good soil and babied humidity and sunlight, but the tree continued to dry/die over 1-2 days. RIP. The (~month?) in transit was too much. Maybe better success shipping in spring/fall when ambient temperatures are more pleasant. Got plant with much faster shipping from Costa Rica that survives so far.
