Excellent customer service
I got the Kyocera about five months ago. It seemed to be good quality and was just what I had wanted, a simple rugged phone for talking and texting without the bells and whistles. As time went on the phone started having some issues with the screens and the speaker. Some of the issues may have been from me, but I also believe that the phone just had some issues or was at the end of its life. The company couldn't really have known about those issues, it just happens some times. I contacted them and even though the phone was pretty far outside of warranty, they were very reasonable and went above and beyond to get my problem solved. All in all, I believe this is an honest company, and they have excellent customer service. When dealing with used products, sometimes things just don't go right, but that's the cost of buying used. I would highly recommend buying from this company!

Solid quality phone
I conduct surveys for insurance carriers, the unwieldy "Smart Phones" just did not cut it working out in the field; drop them and that's that, have to go buy another Plus they were just too complicated. With this phone, it is rugged no worries about dropping; plus have all I need voicemail, email Google etc in a simple to use functional device. Thanks to this seller I was shipped a replacement for a dropped "Smart " phone almost overnight. Great phone, great supplier

Ruggedized and great call quality, fast shipping
UPDATE: Still using both phones, for 4 and 3 years, respectively. I have dropped and accidentally torqued these phones, and they are still going strong. The ruggedized quality was recently put to the test as I was trying to carry everything in from the truck in one armload (bad idea) and managed to drop the older phone in my yard without immediately noticing. My neighbor's labrador picked it up and chewed on it for an hour before we found the phone got it back. I expected the phone to be destroyed; but after cleaning it up, to my shock, it still works as before, in spite of the tooth marks and scratches. Unbelievable, in a good way. Original review: My number one requirement for a phone is reliability, encompassing two things: excellent sound quality, and reliable connection (I cannot stand dropped calls.) Already have this exact model on another line and loved it - based on sound quality, when I use that phone, people think I am on a land line, even when I am in the boonies. This particular phone is not quite as reliable as my original one (which I have been using for a year) even though it is the exact same model and software version - this one has a dropped a few calls, and has more static, especially when the call has first connected. I use both phones from the same places, so it is not a difference in signal strength, but a slight deceased performance of the particular phone I received (my other one works fine, no static, and doesn't drop calls, ever.) If not for that slight drop in performance, would be 5 stars . . . The vendor IS 5 stars, shipped the phone same day with all needed accessories, and I received it sooner then expected. Note, the manufacturer does not provide a written manual for this phone, but you can download one from Kyocera's web site (the vendor cannot provide a manual which does not exist, so please don't hold that against the vendor.) This phone is SO much more reliable than the overpriced phablet (giant smartphone) I retired to start using it. What good is a telephone you can't use for calls? This phone is miles ahead of any smartphone if you *need* a telephone rather than a pocket computer, which I did. I will likely use it for years, and suspect I could run over it with my truck and it be no worse for wear. If you need a reliable phone, get this, you will not regret it.

Beware
As a few other people have commented, stay away from this phone. Love the phone BUT the Battery LIFE is extremely terrible !!! My phone went dead after 7hrs and I didn't use it for calls, just left it on.Tried 2 brand new batteries and it still won't hold a charge more than 7 hrs !!! Had a phone guy check the phone out and everything was working but the phone won't last more than 7 hrs with a full charge and probably much less if you use it a lot. The phone was supposed to be brand new BUT it may not be soon don't give your self grief just stay away. Added a new post in comments please read ,very important.

Loved by my husband and all others who love flip phones
So my husband loves his new phone. His old 1X flip phone finally could get no signal and this was the best option for a simple LTE phone. The sound quality is excellent. Crystal clear audio. The battery life, since he has very modest use, is pretty good. It can last 2-3 days on a charge. The vendor described the item perfectly. The phone was basically new. No signs of wear and original plastics on everything. One thing we found out is you must removed the plastic on the interior screen or it mutes your sound. Better signal reception than my LG smart phone.

4G New World
My husband has resisted smart phones forever. However his phone was 3g and getting a call through or getting an answer if he tried to call me was getting ridiculous. This Kyocera was the only flip phone with 4g in stock. End of dropped or missed calls. He likes it but I am happier about getting the call through when necessary. He likes the brightly backlit keyboard. Very easy to see at night. It is capable of running internet, although it would not have the screen size of a smart phone. Many features for the cost like personal ring tones, etc. Very happy with purchase. Only small thing was that since it was not a smart phone. our carrier could not change all the contacts so he had to do them one by one. The rest was smooth sailing.

Solid phone, but.....
The choices out there for a decent quality 4G flip-phone are extremely limited. I am guessing that all of the manufacturers would prefer going to 100% smart-phone production, so they are putting little, to no, resources toward making flip phones. This phone seemed to be one of the best choices available. I will echo here what a lot of reviewers on various sites have already noted. The battery doesn't last as long as Verizon's previous flips, but it serves my purposes, and I don't mind charging a little more often. Keep the wifi, bluetooth, and roaming turned off, and the charge will last a lot longer. As many have mentioned, they get less bars than previous Verizon flips from the same location. I have found that I get one less bar at my house. My only thought on why that might be is that perhaps the extremely hard (and waterproof) case impeeds the signal a bit. Neither myself, the techs at the Verizon store, nor their corporate customer service people could get my phone to access the Verizon cloud after a gazllion attempts, only getting an error message. Finally, a customer service supervisor told me that there was a Kyocera softwhere glitch that is causing this on this model, and another flip phone. She said they have been trying to get the glitch fixed since April. I subsequently spoke with a Kyocera rep who said there is no problem with their own software, and that it was a Verizon software problem. WELL,...one of these companies is lying. Also, while I can access gmail thru the phone's wifi, it will not allow me to set up gmail in the phone's email accounts app (error messages). Previous reviews have stated that this is a result of the phone not being compatible with google's two-step verification requirement. This phone is a little heavier and a little bigger than previous Verizon flips, but if you're looking for something you can drop in the toilet, or the lake, and have it survive, the size and weight is a small price to pay. I recommend this phone, just BE AWARE of it's shortcomings. I gave it 3 stars simply because some of the issues I've mentioned could have been easily fixed, but they don't seem to want to bother.
