I want to rent a room in my flat - can I use this agreement and do I need a rent book?

This agreement is not suitable renting a room in a property that you live in. For this you will need the LegalPath Lodger Agreement. It is also available on amazon, if you use this product code, B07LDCKFWX, in the search bar you will find it.

Is this form legally valid to use now after 2 years of print date?Is this form legally valid to use now after 2 years of print date?

I’m not sure but I would think so as it’s only when the the agreement was made, the completion signatures and date is what binds the tenancy. The only thing I could say is if they have changed anything on the forms it may differ from a newer one.

Is this the 2019 version after the additional laws in june?

I believe it is but I bought fir a friend who used it about 2 months ago. I used the pre2019 version and was very happy with that. It should be indescription , lower down on the product page. Sometimes you have to scroll fown quite a way.

Can you use the 2019 version for 2020

Yes it's fine if you wish you can add additional information as long as signed by both parties.

Simple and straightforward to use.

I bought it to show a lessee what an actual STA looks like. He'd cobbled one together that was a travesty.I shall be using it myself soon, when I let. It's clear and easy to use. Professional.

Great value for money, no need for agents fees.

Used this tenancy agreement for last two years, so easy to use! All the details a landlord and tenant need, very concise. The tenant was happy to not be inundated with too much legal jargon too, but it covers all necessary issues, so simple. Saves hundreds!

To complication questions

I should imagine very good for someone who has more than one or two properties But far to complicated questions for a simple tenants agreement Like asking for to much information on tenant even ages so sorry to say I had to bin it and send for the simple one NO PROBLEM WITH THAT

Perfect

I have two tenants I've just switched to these agreements. One receives Housing Benefits the other Universal Credit - both agreements were accepted by the local authorities. The agreements are comprehensive, clear and well laid out. I couldn't have hoped for a better result. And best of all - you can photocopy one so you'll ever need to buy another TA again. 10/10
