TekviewEnvirotxt Power Loss & Temperature Alerts Socket via GSM Mobile Network

I have never reviewed a product before despite have bought plenty of things! However, I have had such incredible support from this seller Tekview that I must put it on record.I bought the Envirotxt and then went to PC World/Curry’s for a SIM card ...this was pre the current lockdown. I took the appliance with me to ensure I got the correct SIM card. I was assured they knew what was needed and sold me an iD mobile simcard only and monthly contract. I couldn’t get it to work and so contacted Tekview. I then discovered I had been sold totally the wrong sim, but although they don’t usually sell these they would get me one and help me set it all up.Of course I can’t go in to PC World as lock down and I have had a nightmare trying to cancel the ‘wrong’ sim contract. IDmobile have a no phone call policy ....seriously their website lauds the fact.However, Tekview have supported me throughout ...I only wish I had rung them in the first instance. It is so rare to have a person on the end of a phone ..let alone one that listens, responds and even, when needed, rings you back as promised. Superb.

So far, we have not managed to set it up because 1. We put in a sim card that was too small and we could not get it out. and then 2. The set-up is by text message sent from your mobile, and our mobile was an old pay as you go, not an Iphone, and the text message begins and ends with a hash key. If you press the hash key on old mobiles, it just makes a space in the text. So we have to go and get an Iphone now. I don't know if they can send a hash - I will have to wait and see. Every command in the future relies on a hash key, otherwise you can't use it. We have taken the contraption apart now to recover the little sim card, that took half a day, and we had great advice from the makers via the contact page of their website. Lovely people, great help.

We use this for an out building that has a sensitive trip switch. We now know when power is lost. Very easy to set up and administer.

I cant believe they would send a product with a European plug and no adapter. Poor
