If i seal this with modge podge, will the aluminum from the gold look matte? or will it keep the aluminum gold? thx!

If you use gloss modge podge then yes it will keep the look. I'd use a thin layer of the spray.

How is it applied, I mean, is transfer sheet removed hot or cooled? I had a hard time getting it to adhere to canvas bags.

I find it sometimes easier to remove when it is still hot. Just make sure you held the heat on there long enough for it to stick.
