Slow drying allows time to blend
Acrylics tend to dry quickly. The OPEN acrylics are a thinner consistency and dry more slowly allowing more time to blend. They can stay viable in a sealed palette for a couple of weeks. Outdoors, the drying time is greatly affected by the wind, but still slower than regular acrylics. Extender mediums can slow the drying time even further. They can be mixed with your regular acrylics.

This worked great. Shipped nicely. The tube was not smashed on arrival. It was in its own little box in the envelope.

Mellower than white
Good color to lighten other colors subtly and keep a more mellow (less bright) tone to an overall painting, imo. I have made a similar color combo in the past to do the same thing, but it's always nice to have something set to do the same quickly. At first I only got 1 of them, but then I said something and the store immediately sent me the other one. It's a crazy good deal! Especially for Golden.

A step up from other paint brands
Golden Open is a great product. I have never been a fan of acrylic paints until Open was recommended to me, by one of my college professors. Years later, Open is the only acrylic paint brand I recommend for traditional oil painters or students.

Open Acrylics are slow drying
Open Acrylics are slow drying... this allows you to use acrylics for plein air painting. Smooth and creamy, consistent color...these are very nice, even though they are a little pricey.
