It's a great bow stop, nice firm rubber so it's just what you'd expect. In the specs/description it does say the hole is 3/8 of an inch which is correct and I did need a 1/2 inch bolt hole . . . a drill is a wonderful tool, it modified the hole in seconds. Good to go for a few more years!I would have given them a 5 star but the lack of proof reading their ad counts against them.

A review of a solid rubber V-stop isn't really rocket science. Basically, is it the size listed? That's really the only real question. Arrived perfectly fine, on time, and exactly like it looks in the picture. Was the perfect angle for the bow of the sailboat it was being used on. I did end up shaving down the outside edges of the body where the bolt passes through, so as to fit directly into a 2" square steel tubing piece, but that was by choice, not design flaw. So far, I haven't seen any markings left on the bow, but then this was installed on the trailer after the boat was on, snugged up, and hasn't moved. Whether or not it leaves any marring when a boat brushes back and forth remains to be seen. Even so, it's exactly what it says it is, nothing more.

I use this as a replacement stop on my transom saver. The 2" thickness at the mounting hole works perfectly for my transom saver and it holds the motor securely as it should. What more can I say... it just works.
