Does this really work?!?! Yes It Does!
UPDATE - 1 1/2 years later; So the magnets have maintained their performance to date. To keep improving things I have added one more to the cold line water pipe going into the hotter water tank. Then I added one to each of the two cold water lines which break off into opposite directions of the house. This is a ranch home so the water lines are quite long, about 35ft in each direction. We have not had any lime or mineral build up on any faucets or appliances. The water still feels soft, skin feel soft, the clothes wash nicely, and the planters and lawn has been outstanding as well! If I ever move these are coming with me. Please take note we have city/small town water but the hardness would require a water softener for sure. Try these magnets if you don't want to hassle with a water softener, which are being banned in many states anyway. Good luck! I was highly skeptical! We moved from an area with 3-5 grains water hardness to an area with 9-12+ grain water hardness, both areas are city water. I was not expecting much, period. After week one, started to notice porcelain sinks and toilet bowls stayed cleaner longer and the gloss came back after being dull. Week two soap and shampoo lathered easier, hard water and soap scum at bottom of shower has hardly been a problem now. Week three, shower heads and faucet strainers show no hard water build up, shower runs stronger. Hard water feel more pronounced on occasion but I assume that is the mineral scale coming free from pipes and hotter tank, this should be done in a couple more months. Week four water tastes better filtered or unfiltered, and everything keeps improving. Someone wrote in that there are still spots on their shower doors. Of course! This would happen with softners, conditioners, or filters. Shower doors need to be dried off always to prevent spots, unless you apply Rain-X. My wife hates soft water so in this new house which is 2 years old there were three options I was going to pursue. I started with the cheapest (mineral magnets) one at the water line coming into the house, one at the hot water tank where the water exits to the faucets. If no other improvements occur, we will be fine with that. As it stands now, we are satisfied with the results currently. I've read much information on mineral magnets, expected nothing but it would be worth a try. Not disappointed in the least! I felt for the $70, if it didn't work, nothing lost really. The next options would just get more expensive. Worth the try for sure!

Amazing product
We purchased this about a month ago as a more affordable means of reducing hard water scale in our home. Admittedly we were quite apprehensive, but a much cheaper alternative to try. Item delivered quickly, right on time. Installed on our water pipes the next day and we decided it would take a bit to notice a change. Wrong! The water in the shower that evening was soft to touch, felt amazing! Skin and hair were definitely more soft and not dry feeling. Didn’t mention to my husband as he is much harder to Impress. However he mentioned how different the water felt and how it rolled off the shower walls and doors so quickly and easily. He was not yet totally on board but through the days he has seen a difference . Cleaning that shower area has become quick and easy. No scrubbing scale, not even water spots. I even noticed our stainless areas of our cat fountain which always require scrubbing and seldom removing all the residue was nice and smooth and shiny with just a washing. This has never happened in all the years of cleaning that fountain. Somewhere I read, and we did a lot of research on this magnet, that after time places that already held residue could clear up. My husband complained one day that the soap was not lathering as before. I explained softer more conditioned water tends to create less lather. All in all, we are believers. Water feels softer, skin and hair soft and far less dry and cleaning showers and areas are much faster and easier. Will update in a few more months to see how this sustains. Easily installed ( very few minutes), no maintenance, much cheaper than any other method, and amazing results from a couple of reluctant believers.

Success on White Scale when used on One Fixture
I’m a believer in science but I’m not an expert in chemistry. I was very skeptical of the claims for this product. I did notice that many previous reviews said it was successful with white deposits. Other reviews were mixed. (Admittedly not very scientific.) I decided to give it a shot. All I wanted was for it to prevent white scale buildup on fixtures. Several reviews said it could remove existing deposits but I considered that highly unlikely. I installed it on the inlet line for a single toilet as a test, assuming that this should be a fairly easy test, unless it was completely bogus. The toilet had recently been replaced (due to scale buildup over 20 years). The new toilet already had a slight deposit at the waterline and had visible deposits in the trap area - perfect conditions for a test. I installed the device and waited. Six months later the toilet still has a slight deposit of scale at the water line - but it’s no worse than before. That’s enough for me to consider the test a success, IMHO. The amazing part, to me, is that the deposit at the bottom (trap area) is noticeably reduced! That’s more than enough. One complaint (not a dealbreaker): Some intended uses might not have enough space. You need space for the device, but you also need to have enough space to get both hands on the device at the same time. Keep in mind that you’ll be working against the magnets. Next test: I plan to move it to the water inlet for the whole house. Can one device treat all the water, or will I need one for each fixture? Come back in six more months to find out.

Reduced mineral deposits and hair loss for both me and my wife

I purchased this in conjunction with an electric one and between the two we've noticed a big difference in how the water feels. No need for a salt water softener! Remember that the minerals are still present but they just not 'sticky'. If water is left to dry mineral deposits will be present but water acts as soft water.

UPDATE: It is December 25, I just wiped the inside of my glass kettle clean with a paper towel, the white powdery stuff on the bottom, simply wiped away and the kettle is like brand new.... this works if you understand how it works. It seems to neutralize the calcium so it does not stick to surfaces, just brushes away with running water on the inside of pipes (I assume) and it wipes away from surfaces, like a kettle or fixtures in kitchen and Bathroom... it is so nice, I don't use abrasives at all. But like the warning says, I can't leave standing water, like in my powder room where the toilet doesn't get used often, so once a month (when I forget to flush every two days or so, there is a sort of crusty buildup, NOTHING like before, I just use the puma stone and it comes off easily.... NO more chemicals! Okay, I installed this product on June 5th, 2016, 2+ weeks ago. I've been testing it with my clear glass kettle which used to get serious deposit on the bottom of it that I had to use vinegar to break it down and clean it. For at least a week and a half, I now only need to wipe it with a cloth or paper towel. The difference is very noticeable not only on my kettle bottom, but also if I leave water on my fixtures now, I don't have to use vinegar and water to clean them, I can simply wipe them with a cloth and yes I do see the spots, but the difference is that it isn't a struggle to remove the spots. Yesterday I didn't have a cloth and wanted to wipe it before company was coming, so I did it with my fingers and it came up shining. I am happy with the product and probably would order another one just to add to it, but for the price, perhaps someone can tell me why magnets costs so much, I just don't see it and when I recommended it to my daughter and told her how much, she was not impressed, how about maybe $39.99? Anyways, I will hold off on buying another, if one works, I tought two would be better is all.
