Good quality, but remember this is a 6000K White Light
This light works well. It's bright as others have said. The size is good and having a light switch and plug included is a good value compared with lights that come with bare wires. I had an old dual halogen light stand. I removed the old 500W halogen lamps and put these in their place. These lights are more square than some and allowed me to put them side-by-side like the old lamps. Some LEDs have a more rectangular shape which wouldn't allow this. I bought a long corded power strip and zip-tied it to the post. I just had to plug these in, no wiring. I turn them both on from one switch or individually. They are easy to remove. It's a great solution. My only issue with these is the color temperature. I didn't pay attention to it when I ordered these. 6000K is really cold light. I have a 3000K LED fixture which is warm white and renders colors much more accurately. When I'm painting, certain colors are difficult to see with these 6000K lights. If I had to do it over, I would look for 3000K. I'm not faulting these lights for their color. My mistake not paying attention to the color temperature and ordering accordingly.Overall good quality and value. Just know what light temperature you're ordering.

Very bright, get stainless hardware to mount, seems durable.
The media could not be loaded. Just installed these to control the sun when the kids are playing at night. They seem durable, made of powder coated cast aluminum with a large heat sink on the back. Be sure to use stainless steel hardware (lag bolts and washers). They have a 120 degree field of view (FOV), so plan accordingly. It would help to use a little geometry upfront to be sure you have them positioned properly. This will avoid leaking light into the neighbors yard or street. I cut the cord off at the rocker switch, drilled two small holes into the attic, and spliced them to a single plug. Worked great!I bought a z-wave outlet. It works great and I can turn off my lights through my my app... Better than drilling holes through a fire block to route to a switch. FYI,I don't like wireless home automation. Z-wave is stronger with more devices. WiFi home automation is burdened with more devices.

Bright!
I bought these lights to install in my front yard after having them in my back yard for a few years! The exact same lights have been in my back yard for almost 3 years and still work exactly as the day I installed them — super durable! They have been through countless Florida storms with no problem with waterproofing.I wanted a light I could use along with a smart plug and my Blink camera system to get a better picture after dark. They are BRIGHT!The photos I’ve attached speak for themselves. 🙂

Works great, but cord is stupid short
These units work great! I bought two of this kind and two of a similar kind 3 years ago. ZERO issues with function. I have used them as work light for construction projects, extra light for youtube videos in my shop, and even have one set up as a semi-permanent light in a dark corner of the basement where it's not practical to add a proper light fixture until we do a big remodel. The ONLY issue I have with them is that the cord is so short I basically always need to use an extension cord. I even designed my shop to have outlets spaced no more than every 4 feet around the perimeter of the room, just above workbench height, plus several more around the room near ceiling height, and yet I can't use these without an extension cord. Maybe there are situations where this is a good design for people, but I question that. 2-3 feet longer would make them MUCH more usable. Also they're grounded, so I have to use the much more expensive extension cords with ground wires instead of the cheap 2 conductor ones. For LEDs?? Seems unnecessary. PLENTY of work lights and lamps, even rated for 100-150 watt incandescent bulbs, use normal lamp cable just like the cheap extension cords, without a ground wire.Basically I don't understand the design intent of saving money by giving these a short cord, yet not also saving money by going with a 2 conductor cable as most lamps, especially LEDs, use. Finally, if I were buying more I think I would step up to the 500 watt units. The 250s are quite usable, but there are times when they haven't been as bright as I had imagined. I have no reason to believe they are putting out less power than advertised. I believe this was only an issue of my understanding/assumption.

Great replacement for my dual halogen Black & Decker stand
I was getting frustrated with how hot my dual halogen stand/tripod would get. Plus knowing that if both of those were on high, that's 1000W total. When one of the bulbs recently burned out in the middle of a project, I was shopping for replacements and thought this was a great time to finally replace those with some LEDs. Initially I was looking just at replacement LED bulbs, but finding any 500W equivalent that had a chance of fitting, and working well, was near impossible. For the price, it was better just to get this pair with integrated LEDs and hardwire it into the same junction box on the Black & Decker stand. I just had to cut the power cords on these and wire it into the box so they use the pre-existing power cord of the stand, and since each of these new lights has their own power switch, I was in business. They do seem to put out about as much light as I remember the dual 500W halogens did. Different color temperature though - these are 6000K whereas the halogens were a much warmer, so it's a little hard to compare. But they're definitely very bright, and use only 200W combined instead of 1000W.They do get a little hot on the back side, but that's typical for LEDs. You can still touch them, though it's probably not super comfortable. Compared to halogen heads though, it's a huge difference. You could literally fry an egg on halogens, or get a nasty burn if you happen to bump into one, even with the cages they have in front of them.In short, a very welcome upgrade if you're swapping out some halogen fixtures and didn't want to get a whole new stand/tripod mount.
