Assuming the needle is aligned properly, the high tracking force of a ceramic needle will wear out records much quicker, and if not aligned properly, damage your records. If you’re playing 3 dollar vinyl you got at goodwill, go for it. If you care about your records at all avoid this player or a thing else in the sub 150 range.

No, it is connected by audio cables. The turntable only have Bluetooth input function which means you may play your phone music through your turntable. The turntable will work as a bluetooth receiver.

Can you close the dust cover while a record is playing?

you cannot, the record would be too big for it to close
