Awesome! Mayan cabosil, works great with polyester vinyl, ester and epoxy

Its good stuff. My use case was for thickening vinyl ester resin for a boat I am rebuilding. You will need to use a lot of cabosil if you want to get it thick enough. 2-3x the volume of the resin when you put it in the mixing bucket if you want it not to sag. A gallon of this stuff goes pretty quick. I think its best practice to catalyze the resin first, so the time it takes to mix in the cabosil eats into your working time. A mixer attachment to a drill is a must, it takes a little bit of time to get all the lumps out. Therefore mixing more than a quart of resin at a time would be difficult given you probably have 15-20 minutes to lay it down. Mixing in a little milled fibers also thickens its up really quick, but be careful a little goes a long way. Also don't breath this stuff in, it gets into the air easily when mixed.

I used this to thicken epoxy resin to smooth seams on my boat floor. this whole jar only made around 15 oz of thickened epoxy, not nearly as much as I hoped for. But it did the job well, cured nicely, and strong. Hard to use, sticks to everything but once you get the hang of it, its not bad.

Excellent product! I use it to thicken JB Weld! The plus side is that it actually strengthens JB Weld! Also, great for epoxy.
