I recently upgraded to the Russell Hobbs Steam Power Generator Iron and it has been a fantastic addition to my laundry routine. As someone who does a lot of ironing, I was looking for a high-performance iron that could make the task easier, and this model definitely delivers. First off, the 1.3L removable water tank is a huge plus. It’s easy to fill and doesn’t need frequent refilling, which is great for large loads of ironing. I’ve used it for several hours straight, and it never runs out of steam. The iron's steam output is powerful and consistent, making quick work of even the most stubborn wrinkles. I love the ceramic soleplate—it glides smoothly over all types of fabric, and it’s non-stick, so I don’t have to worry about it leaving marks or getting caught on clothes. The iron heats up really fast too, so there’s no waiting around for long. One feature that has truly impressed me is the steam pressure. It provides a powerful burst of steam that helps smooth out tough creases in just one pass, which makes ironing so much quicker. The continuous steam function is also really handy for ongoing work, especially on larger items like bed linens or curtains. While the iron is a bit larger than my previous one, the powerful steam output and ease of use make it worth it. It’s easy to store the iron, and the design is sleek and modern, so it doesn’t feel out of place in my laundry room. Overall, the Russell Hobbs Steam Power Generator Iron has exceeded my expectations. It’s powerful, efficient, and makes ironing much less of a chore. Easy to use & great results

I bought this iron to replace my previous steam generator iron. It is a good price, heats up quickly, has a long flex so the iron reaches the end of the ironing board and is light to use. I particularly like that you remove the water container to fill the iron. However, what lets it down in comparison to my old one is you don't get instant steam when you press the steam button on the iron - it takes a couple of seconds for it to be generated. That's the only reason I haven't rated it 5 stars.

What can I say about this iron? Well, my husband bought me one after I had loaned my daughters, and it's a joy to use. It's very light to hold, which is helpful because I have arthritic hands, and it irons like a dream. It makes a good job of lightweight tops on the lowest setting...steaming both sides from one side ironing! And jeans, they are so easy to iron with this and they don't even need to be done on full heat! I have used this iron on a great many types of material and it gives consistantly good results. I have to say that I am deeply impressed! My daughter bought one when they had just come out, and mine is an improvement on her one. I get the ironing done in half the time it used to take me, and that makes me very happy. I will be telling all my friends about it. I can't express just how happy I am with this product. Oh, and be careful! When you use the steam setting...it gurgles for s second or two, then the steam floods out and boy is it ever HOT! Don't use it on the highest setting for the jeans and corderoy trousers you may have, because you won't need to! As it's hot enough on the first steam setting to go through even hard denim etc. I couldn't be happier with mine!

The new design has some improvements but the plastic sole plate doesn’t slide and glide like the original. Making ironing more difficult. A retrograde step just to save a few pennies. Why didn’t they test it against the stainless steel sole plate before deciding to make the change?

What should customers know....well the box does not come with a manual, nor does it tell you to change the filter, or how often or the kind of descaler to use. The iron is not powerful, not durable, too slow and the soleplate gets affected with the water placed in the tank, even though I have emptied it out fully after each use, dark water disperses from the iron and has damaged my clothes. The customer services ask a lot of questions to catch you out, repeatedly asking for letters after a 5 digit code, the letters do not exist, once they have exhausted all of their questions they then tell you that they cannot refund or exchange at this time, even though the item has a 3 year guarantee with it. They offer you a discount expecting you to purchase another item from them. So I shared this info with Amazon and they dealt with this difficult seller. I am happy. The rest is history.

Great steam iron , for reasonable price, large water capacity, heats up fast, great storage of cable, easy and quick to iron, lightweight. Better than any professional streamers I had previously.

It came with only an american plug, not an australian one.

I bought steam iron from Amazon which I'm not happy with my purchase at all. The iron is leaking water and I couldn't use it even after buying it like a week after buying it. So I would like to write a comment on Amazon to complain about the product and tell people to avoid it. I haven't been able to actually use it for its intended purpose once. It’s poorly constructed and definitely not worth the money. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this model!
