This is a good sized planter box. It's made of cedar and requires assembly which was relatively simple. It has drainage holes in the bottom panels. We plan on having this undercover on a patio so the wood should hold up okay out in the elements. I don't know how the wood would hold up if it were exposed to bad weather over time. We assembled it per the instructions which tells you to put the liner in before putting the caps on but the caps don't hold the liner in and as you can see it just sits there and flops down. If you fill it with dirt, which we don't intend to do, I would imagine that it would help holding the liner up. Even still you would end up with dirt behind the liner because it's not attached in any way. If I were to use this with the liner filled with dirt, I think I would have to staple it in or something. I'm not sure why the liner doesn't stay put. Otherwise the box itself is nicely made and it smells delightful because it's cedar. We plan to put potted plants in it so it will be just fine for our use and it looks really nice.

Good value for the money. I bought 2 Assembly is quite easy except for the 4 screws and nuts that give added support to the sides. These were a bit tricky to get in. All the rest was a breeze. I did seal them with the sealer suggested. I bought cheap throw away brushes was easy and the end result is great. I put 4 cubic feet of podding soil in each with 2” of room at the top. Instructions were adequate for anyone with some common sense. They say they will last at least 5 years and I think they will last. Used an electric screw gun but be careful not to over tighten as this is soft wood. I had no issues and would buy again if I need another. My wife is growing herbs in hers and it’s working out great. It took about 45 minutes to assemble each one plus the sealing time. Far less time than if I built from scratch.

Beautiful look, easy to assemble except the bolts do not fit correctly in the holes! I bought 3 and had issues with at least 2 bolts on each. It is poorly designed and would be an easy fix. Despite that problem, I was happy in the end, filled them with dirt and planted crops. However, the wood is such poor quality that one of the long side boards split within a week or two, creating a horizontal crack all across the board. I took a picture , contacted the company and they sent a replacement “as a one time courtesy”. I thought that was a ridiculous response as the problem was with the cheap wood of their product so it was annoying that they didn’t take responsibility for that and made it sound like they were doing me a favor but would only do it “once.” When a second bed showed a crack a few weeks later I just gave up. They should also offer to replace this one but I feel like I had their “one time” courtesy and I don’t feel like wasting any more time arguing with them so I did not contact them regarding the problem with the second bed. I had already decided these are such poor quality that if I have to build another one, I might as well get a product that is worth my time and money. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality. The product I had before was very sturdy wood and lasted for ten years before I felt I needed a replacement. I now regret not just rebuilding the old ones as they were many times more study. When I assembled the replacement bed the company sent, I had the same issue with bolts not fitting that I had with the other 3 beds. With 2 out of three beds cracking within a month of purchase, I feel like the issue could be helped by adding a few vertical supports along the long sides of the beds. A better designed product would have supports included. An even better designed product would not use flimsy wood that splits right away and is not sturdy enough for the intended use. The first photo is the bed that split immediately. The second photo is the bed that cracked within a couple of weeks.

I have the single unit and really like it so I bought this double planter box. I got the box put together just fine but not without some difficulty. The drawings of the parts are hard to understand and the pieces were labeled poorly so I had to guess which piece was which. Had I followed just the instructions, I would not have placed the 3 bottom pieces where they belonged since the instructions never addressed them again. One of the barrel nuts could not be used because the hole that held the nut had a big 1 1/2" chip where the nut was to go. I used some extra screws for stability. It looks like there are enough drainage holes but i also used a weed barrier on the bottom of the unit so that the dirt would not fall through. My single unit came with that but this box did not come with it.

My garden table came apart, screws came out of my table after I put all my plants and dirt so I had to use duck tape to hold it together
