Hawaiian Samoan Faux Turtle Shell Carved Turtle Comb

I stumbled across this and remembered the one I used to have be home in HI. It only made sense that I needed to have another one, which I am wearing right now! These combs are pretty much part of the island wardrobe for the hair!

I've searched for years for a comb like this to hold my long hair up...reminding me of growing up in Hawai'i where all the girls had them!! This is a very good replacement. Not flimsy, not cheap looking. Only complaint is that the ends of the teeth are very rounded which doesn't let the comb secure your hair really well. Used to love the feeling of combs like this digging into my scalp as I collected my hair into a floppy bun and stabbing the comb into the mess to hold it up. This comb slips out a bit easier than I like. My husband said he'd be happy to file the teeth into a sharper point but only if he could use it on me the first time. I didn't realize he was into hairstyling....hmmmmm....I'm very happy with the comb...glad I bought 2!!

Ordered this for my boyfriend because his broke and he loved this. It was exactly like the one he had which was very sentimental to him. Would definitely order again.
