Powerhouse!
Powerhouse. I've had this for months now and it's powered all my electronic things in the car; a cellphone and tablet which I keep always plugged in, since I drive 12 hours a day, and a portable lunch warmer. This thing has never faltered. Very happy with it.

Helps make my van look neater
I wish I had thought to buy this earlier. I love it and it makes my car look more organized. With a family of five, the more outlets the better! I have found it to be consistently reliable, it has great power output, and is extremely easy to use

Great While It Worked, Fail after a couple of uses.
I bought this on March 28, 2025, and used it 2 or 3 times to power my laptop. My Lenovo laptop charger draws 135W as stated on the output spec or the charging block. The Inverter is rated for 300W. This charger worked fine for the first couple of uses. On the last use, it would only change for a few seconds, then the laptop showed it was not plugged in. I plugged in a voltmeter, and it showed that the voltage output was only 96V. This is apparently too low to power the charger. This charger had a small fan, USB charging ports, and a nice look. But, it turned out to be very unreliable. DO NOT BUY.

A Compact Lifesaver: Quiet Power When You Need It Most
Living in the hills of Southern California, you learn quickly that planning for emergencies isnโt just a hobbyโitโs a necessity. Between wildfires, power outages, and the general unpredictability of the grid these days, itโs become second nature for us to build little redundancies into how we live. Thatโs how we ended up discovering just how useful the RoyPow 300W Car Power Inverter could be. I already have a heavy-duty inverter setup that taps directly into our EVโs charging port and puts out up to 1800 watts, which is more than enough to run major appliances in a pinch. But for the majority of our needsโkeeping a laptop running, powering a lamp, charging phones or a small fanโthis smaller inverter is surprisingly sufficient, and more importantly, far more convenient. We first really tested this RoyPow inverter during the recent wildfire evacuations. Though we werenโt hit directly, we were displaced long enough that power at home was unreliable. One of the smartest moves we made was using our EV as a backup power source. By plugging this unit into the 12V โcigarette lighterโ port (which, letโs be honest, probably deserves a new name in the 2020s), we had a steady stream of modest, clean power to use wherever we needed it. Our big appliances were covered by the larger inverter, but it was the RoyPow that ran the show for the essentials: recharging our phones, powering the internet router when we could get signal, and even keeping a work laptop going for Zoom meetings. The inverterโs compact size makes it feel more like a travel charger than a piece of emergency equipment, but donโt let that fool you. It puts out a stable 300W (with 600W peak) across dual AC outlets, and it also sports multiple USB portsโUSB-A, QC3.0, and two USB-C PD ports rated at 30W and 36W respectively. That gives you enough flexibility to charge a surprising variety of devices without needing separate adapters. I normally charge my Galaxy Ultra using a 45W charger at home, so while the USB-C PD ports here arenโt quite as fast, theyโre still very serviceable. You wonโt get lightning-fast charging speeds, but if youโre using this in a car or during an outage, itโs more than enough to get the job done. In day-to-day use, what really impressed me was how quietly and efficiently it runs. Iโve had other inverters that hum or even vibrate slightly when in use, especially under load. This one stays impressively cool and nearly silent. I used it for a few hours straight one evening while camping just to power some LED lights and top off devices, and it never gave me any trouble. And unlike bulkier or more industrial-looking models, the RoyPow blends in and tucks away neatly when not in use. It doesnโt rattle around in the glove box or center console either, which may sound minor, but anyone who hates road noise knows what I mean. Now, itโs not perfect. While itโs great for small electronics and some light office gear, youโre not going to run a full kitchen or power tools with this thingโand nor should you expect to. If you try to draw too much from it, itโll cut out, which is honestly a good thing, as it helps prevent damage to both the inverter and your carโs electrical system. And while the USB ports are useful, I still find myself leaning on my standalone fast chargers when Iโm near wall power, simply because they deliver more juice for my high-drain devices. But again, this inverter isnโt about peak performanceโitโs about consistent, emergency-ready access to power when youโre not near an outlet. At this point, Iโve ended up placing inverters like this in every car we own, just as a matter of preparedness. But the RoyPow has become the dedicated inverter for our EV. Itโs small enough to stash without thought, powerful enough to cover 90% of our mobile needs, and versatile enough that weโve come to rely on it both during emergencies and for day trips, road travel, and camping weekends. When youโve got kids trying to keep their phones alive or finish a homework assignment in the car, a power inverter like this starts to feel like less of an accessory and more like a necessity. Iโm giving this a solid 4 stars, mostly because while itโs not the most powerful inverter I own, itโs hands-down the most useful for everyday, moderate-power needs. The design is practical, the outputs are varied enough to cover most situations, and the peace of mind it gives me is well worth the price. In a world where staying connected and powered-up feels more essential than ever, this little device definitely earns its spot in the car.

Just what I needed.
Bought this so that we could run our tv in our motorhome while in the road and not have to use the generator. Worked perfectly and also gave us charging ports that I donโt really have in an older motorhome.
