Best Car Battery You Can Buy
Got this for a 2005 Mustang GT. Fit perfectly. It has WAY higher CA and CCA ratings than the Duralast Gold it replaced. I've ALWAYS went with Optima because they last forever. Yes, they are expensive, but they are TOUGH, they don't die on you if you happen to let them drain dead overnight by leaving the radio and lights on for 20 hours or whatever like many batteries do. I'll update if any issues come to plague us, but if you don't see me come back, just know the battery is still doing perfect, even if it's 8 years from now. I may update every 3-4 years and say how it's doing, but I have faith 4 years will be trouble free with an Optima Red Top. I'm just saying, it's worth paying the extra hundred for one of these than saving that hundred and needing to buy another car battery 8 months to 2 years MAX later. These last forever AND they blow the competition away with the cold cranking amp ratings (the important rating). I've used these since 2005 or 2006. I even keep a spare that I've had for 6 years that I keep to bring with jumper cables if I ever need to jump someone off since it's so much easier. I think it may be 8 years old now, actually, lol. Long story short, this is one of the most important components of your vehicle. THIS decides whether you crank and leave or get stuck where you parked. This decides if you run it dead, will it still be good (yes) or will you kill a cell with some other cheaper brand (you will). Spend the money for one of these and then you can forget about worrying about your car battery for YEARS to come.

Optima Guarantee
Original battery would not take charge.Could be because it was put in an Amazon box upside down and shipped.I contacted Optima and they have you fill out a form and send some pictures to them.About a week later they said they would ship a new battery and for me to recycle the old one somewhere. It arrived in about 3 days and going strong about 3 weeks now

My Titan Stopped Roaring - Not Even a Meow!!!
I installed this thing after my so called 80 mo battery died. Fired up my Titan with MagnaFlow Exhaust & 3 1/2" - 4"" inch Tru-Flo Air Intake and the damn thing Roared like a Lion! Hmmm, maybe I'll post a video so you can hear it.... OK ok, so the battery had nothing to do with the sound, but it made the truck start really quickly - I mean it turned the thing over like it was mad at it or something. LOL - Well if you need a good starting battery, then get it... I've had it installed for about two weeks now, and I've completely drained it twice with interior lights and radio while working outside at night. It's still kickin' - I know it warns against deep cycling the battery, but I didn't do it on purpose. Anyway - so far - so good! I like the battery. I'm not gonna propose to it yet, but I do really like it. Hope this helps somebody. UPDATE: Feb 22, 2013 ------- OK - it doesn't roar in the winter - it clicks! it hasn't dropped below 30 degrees here, and all I get are clicks in the morning... I've disconnected my stereo turn-on lead, so the second battery and amps are not engaged by the PAC-500 solenoid, and not pulling from the alternator while driving, or coincidentally pulling the main battery (Optima) down during start. I'm using a jump-starter to start my truck when I hear the clickety-click. I will see if this clicking crap keeps up, and when I'm bored as hell, like I am right now, I will come back and update this posting! UPDATE: MAR 18, 2013 ------- Seems to be fine. 1) My negative cable end was tightened to the max, and was still loose on batt terminal, so I squeezed it together with pliers, and tapped it back down onto the battery terminal. 2) I had the batt tested before step 1 above and it was at 33%. 3) I drove truck to charge batt, but had to use my jump starter a couple more times in morning & once after work 4) I disconnected my stereo, drove it on the hwy, etc to charge up the battery 5) Has been starting just fine, even on coldest mornings here which have been down to 31F. FINAL UPDATE: JUNE 16, 2013 ------------------------- I DITCHED this battery last week for a DIFFERENT BRAND, and now my truck starts every morning - no clicks!!! Fortunately I had a jump box that started my truck every time this thing decided it wanted to take a nap. I replaced it with an O'reilly Autoparts Extreme battery. The last Extreme I had lasted 3 1/2 yrs in the Georgia heat, and with the factory Rockford Fosgate entertainment and Nav package. The Extreme has a 5 yr warranty that I did not use the last time, cause I could not remember where I bought the damn thing from. - LOL - yeah I know! Anyway, seems only a small percentage of these Optima batteries actually work. Shame, because they built such a great reputation for excellent batteries, now it's ruined. - These new ones are pure crap! 180 Degree turn on my initial review - This is a piece of Shieza!!! No Warranty - No Return - No Working = No Buy!!!

My car's battery was dead as a doornail
I tried jumping it, tried charging it - nothing. I've owned the car for a couple of years now and that battery was in it when I bought it (and my car is older), so I have no idea how long it was in my car prior to my purchase. So...while I wish batteries weren't so expensive, this one is right in the costs of recommended batteries for my vehicle. I also did check on the cost to have someone bring a new battery which also required I pay for installation meaning TWICE (and a little more) than the cost of this battery!!! I have very little money to spare, so...I bought this battery, took out the old battery, although I had to have help to get the old VERY heavy battery out (my male next door neighbor helped pull it out of the engine bay as I am a 70-year-old lady with no upper body strength. This battery was actually lighter weight so I could pick it up and set it on the battery plate and that is the only downside is that this battery came with a bottom that could be used on the old battery platform EXCEPT that the way my battery platform ties down is this long screwtop with a J-hook bottom that hooked into a small spot in the original battery platform and the ones that were sent with this battery didn't have any way to use it with that J-hook and screw-top piece that was NEEDED to tie down my battery. Other than that, I was able to tie down and hook up this battery very easily. I did my little prayer that the car start after hook up and my car purred to life and works so well my neighor who stopped to see how I was doing said, "You just replaced the battery?" His eyebrows up, he added, "And it's running?" My car runs so quiet even with the hood still up he couldn't hear it running! So, all I can say is while I wish batteries weren't so dang expensive, this one worked perfectly. I'm happy with it as my car is back to running - what's not to love about that?

Best batterys
I've always been a fan of OPTIMA batteries. they hold a charge for a long time and have exceptional cranking power. Years ago I was an insurance adjuster and had to have a computer and printer working off the battery. after less than an hour of computer work the car wouldn't start without a jump. Installed one of these and never ran out of power.

Best Battery in the World but
"I'm working on my 4th Optima Battery istalled in a BMW and my Isuzu Amigo. Optima would not recomend I install in my Bimmer because according to them, there was not enough clearance and air-flow being that my Battery in installed in a small space in my trunk. I said screw that, and bought their red-top and it works and fits flawlessly! Now for the Amigo, a little more heavy duty red-top was recomended. On my 2nd installation and just under 3 years the Battery Failed. Would not hold a charge. Warranty is for 3 years. Now listen up: Their Customer Service, Optima whom I purchased Direct from (later I purchased from Amazon) acted like I did not have a problem. Sent me a long questionaire and told me to get a professional inspection. They acted like nothing can ever go wrong with their battery! I argued back and forth for a week and finally after a Letter to Corporate, they sent me a New Replacement Battery but also made me return the old one and then told me because it was a Replacement they can not offer a Warranty! I have to say this in retrospect of my experience; "When the Battery functions yes, it may be the best on the auto/marine market in the USA but if it does fail, you have to fight them to get a replacement if you are still under warranty. I hated the idea of the long-wait for the new Battery and then having to pack the old battery and have FEDEX pick it up. So buyer beware. Also be aware the Battery is actually made in Mexico and can be sent through the mail. As far as the Battery itself, no complaints!

An actual review from a competent car owner
First one lasted me 10 years and 2 months through 2 cars. Currently in my 2004 VW GTI VR6. Only reason for replacement is it finally started corroding due to a pinhole leak somewhere around the negative post. Battery still turns the car over like it’s new. Managed to kill it dead probably 4-5 times across that 10 years, and it came back full force every time. I just ordered the exact, same battery because it’s just that good. Don’t listen to the bad reviews on it. If your car isn’t loading the battery when off, they last much longer than any standard cell battery, and are well worth the additional cost.

Great product!
Fits on my Nissan Frontier 2016 Pro 4 x . Shorter than the original height though. You can make a spacer underneath to match. Great product!

Best Battery AGM 👌
Meilleur Batterie AGM sur le marché Évidemment je l’ai fait charger à 100% avec un chargeur intelligent car la batterie ne l’était pas sûrement à cause qu’elle était stocké dans l’entrepôt

Not in Canada
Never buy in Canada. Warranty is not honoured. A dead cell and no resort but chasing amazon despite warranty.

Fast shipping and great product
Fast shipping and great product. Item was delivered I'm no time, sufficiently packaged and worked flawlessly. It seems to have come pretty much pre-charged -- I left it charging for a day anyway to be safe. Installation was straightforward. I was very happy that it includes the accessory to raise the height of the battery a bit, which I needed for my '12 Toyota Sienna. Would definitely do business with again!
