ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 9 Running Shoes

Finally great fitting shoes with a decent arch. I actually bought a pair last year but ordered one size smaller. I still wore them. They felt great. Light, soft and with a good arch. Now with the correct size these are my goto tennis shoes.

I’ve been wearing this brand and similar styles for years. Initially, I started because of my long hours at the gym working to lose weight and get in shape as a middle-age person. Then, I realized my knees were so bad that changing shoes could cause pain so I always try to get something as close to my favorite as possible. There are two things that are super important to me. The first is a lot of cushioning because I have zero cartilage in my knees. The second is good arch support and fit that holds my feet in the right place so that my knees are aligned as as well as as they can be. These shoes fit the bill! They’re quite similar to my last two pairs with the noticeable difference being I needed a size 10 instead of a 9 1/2. I’m thankful prior reviewers notice this so I didn’t end up returning these for a larger size and got 10 to start with! The one thing I noticed, which is really just kind of comical is when I look down at my feet, the profile looks snatched in the midsection of the shoe. Part of that is the optical illusion because the white portion of the soul of the shoe is flared out from the black portion, and the other part is just a function of the arch support giving the appearance that the midsection of my foot is actually much smaller. I will say when I initially put these on, I was skeptical because I felt like the heel portion was not going to be high enough and stay on. I don’t know why it felt that way at first, but once I started walking, it was fine. Possibly just the feel of a new Spring issue instead of my old pair. Also, just a note in case it’s important, if you love the smell of the new tires as you walk out of Costco, you’re going to love these shoes! (yes I’m one of those strange people that think that the tires smell great. It has to be some sort of nostalgia.). The first time I wore, I did go to Costco and my whole car smelled like new tires. I didn’t smell them so much when I was walking around Costco and then Walmart although I could but definitely in the car they’re smelly. I’m assuming this will go away but for me it doesn’t make any difference. However, I know some people are sensitive to odors so it’s on the. “ good to know list”. Chances are throwing them in the laundry will remove the outer

These shoes are great and very comfortable. it looks good and can be in them all day. The shoes make a cracking sound but it’s great

Updated:9/3/26 Still would probably buy these again for a good deal but just a heads up if you are prone to blisters on the back of the heel, After my third run in these, I was wearing No show socks whereas the first to runs I was wearing compression socks that had a tab in the back that seemed to protect me from some rubbing on the right heel... I ended up with a little blister on the third run. Still going to use them because they were comfortable otherwise but going to always wear socks with the tab in the back with these because of that. Shoes are extremely floppy mid sole, and somehow still felt okay. Easy jog, 3 miles, heavyweight runner, had plenty of cushion (too much for my preference). My feet felt surprisingly good in these shoes, all except for the insert that does not feel very good so you would have to wear very comfortable heavy socks or replace the insert with something a little more comfortable. Good for the price, Lightly not going to last beyond 3 months but that is expected since I will be using them for jogging. They do have the weird thing that sticks out in the back but I'm not worried about how they look just how they feel.

This shoes go on my feets and produce a strong happy!! When the walking fast to slow it does an amaze comfortable!!!

I've been wearing these shoes while being on my feet all day for work, and they've been fantastic. I also have back issues, so good support is really important to me. The support these ASICS provide is well above the rest of the shoes I've tried, and they've made a noticeable difference in my comfort throughout the day. They're very comfortable right out of the box, and even after hours of walking and standing, my feet still feel good. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.

Great shoes! Super comfortable while wearing all day everyday n your feet. Fits a narrow or wide foot well.

Love these sneakers! The shoes look amazing and they feel fantastic. I’m not a runner but the cushion feels very substantial so they feel great walking and for standing for long periods of time. The mesh material is breathable and the sole is lightweight. Highly recommend!

Las uso para salir a caminar y algunas veces para correr, y la verdad es que son bastante cómodas. El tejido exterior para mi gusto es demasiado endeble, pero en general la zapatilla cumple con su función. El tallaje es ideal, como todas las zapatillas de Asics. Tienen una buena relación calidad y precio. Las recomiendo.
