PerfectCare 7000 Series Steam Generator Iron, 8.5 bar, 650g Boost

Best iron ever . My TEFAL Pro Express Protect Steam Generator Iron which was around 4-5 years old started spitting out tons of water when I turned it on, so I was looking for a new updated steam generator iron. I did some research and this was given 9/10. I purchased it from Amazon when it was on offer for £299, full price was £550. The Philips Perfectcare it not disappoint - a weeks worth of ironing for 4 adults was done in no time and even clothes dried on the line were ironed cease free. The iron stops steaming when you stop moving it, the unit tells you when the anti-calc needs emptying and the water tank doesn't need to be constantly filled up, even when you use the max steam option. Is it worth the money? Absolutely

Initially very impressed. Ironed everything perfectly at exactly the right temperature . However, on the second use it started spitting dirty water on to my clothes. Thought it might need to be emptied (using the descaling drainage plug) in case there was dirty inside from when it was manufactured. Unscrewing the plug was quite a tight affair but it came out eventually. Quite a bit of dirty water came out but when I tried to screw the plug back in again, it wouldn't go back in and on checking, I can see the plugs female thread on the inside is out of alignment and the plug cannot locate the thread to screw back in again. Contacted Phillips and sent pictures to them and they confirmed it was faulty but instead of offering a replacement they offered a repair. Bearing in mind this iron is less than two weeks old, a replacement is their legal obligation under the sale of good act, not a repair. They then suggested if I want a replacement I have to go back to Amazon which I did and Amazon have sent out a replacement. Just as well as the price I paid was £240 and this iron has now gone up to £400 - absolutely not worth £400 and I would not have purchased it if it was £400. Let's see what the replacement is like and hopefully an improvement on this one Update: I've been using the replacement for some months now. It is faultless, perfect ironing every time. I actually enjoy ironing now. Never have to fiddle with heat setting ever again. Just pick your garment or bedding & iron for a perfect finish. Best iron I've every owned and there have been many!!

We have had this a few months now, brilliant iron. Yes, as many of the reviewers have stated, it can spray out water initially, but it does tell you to let the initial steam clear in the instructions. Once this hurdle is overcome, the iron is fantastic, one of the best we have owned. Rapid ironing and effortless removal of creases, plenty of steam and more if you need it! The water tank has more than enough to last a full basket, definitely worth the extra money, although wait for the sales :) like we did. One thing that is a little annoying, you cannot stand the iron up on the ironing board, it has to be placed back on to the base, but we think of it as an additional safety feature.

Product is fine but do not expect customer support afterwards. I requested an invoice and received one with zero per cent tax. I asked for a proper one and seller and amazon couldn't provide one. Wasted weeks with this. Creating an official complaint to HMRC

What I liked about this iron: - I was worried I will notice no difference as I already have a very good iron (Philips Azur Elite - GC5037/86), however, this steam generator iron was significantly more powerful and quicker in ironing creases - Large amount of steam with great pressure. Again this leads to great performance. - Automatic steam output. I don't have to press the trigger to release steam. I believe this is one of the advantages of this model compared to other steam generators released by Phillips. - I don't have to worry about storing the hot iron plate once I'm done ironing as I can just attach it to the base. What I don't like: - Very bulky and large even for a steam generator. My iron board has a specific spot for steam generators and this barely fits on it. - Not very quick to heat up. - Instructions manual is not clear.

I’ve been using Phillips steam generators for almost a decade now and would never go back to a regular iron. I bought this one a few months ago to replace my previous model that was dropped a few times and eventually fell apart (still worked though haha). This model is great and I love the fact that you no longer need to hold a button to release steam. It works beautifully on any fabric, just like the previous model. One small aspect to be aware of though: the iron will spray water for a few seconds initially before it gets really hot. This happens every time you warm up the iron from cold. Just make sure you release any steam/spray for the initial 10-15 seconds and you’re good to go, no other issues.

Fabulous new iron. Even better than my previous steam generated iron from Philips. Ironing is quick and easy and makes it a joy to use.

Best one yet Philips! That is all is needed for this review. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ich bin äußerst zufrieden mit diesem Produkt. Das Bügeleisen ist innerhalb von zwei Minuten betriebsbereit. Während des Aufheizvorgangs ist eine gewisse Geräuschentwicklung festzustellen, die jedoch für mich nicht störend ist. Die Bügelleistung ist sehr gut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die leichte Handhabung des Bügeleisens. Der abnehmbare Wassertank lässt sich zudem mühelos entnehmen. Insgesamt bin ich vollkommen zufrieden.
