American Girl Caroline Abbott Mini Doll & Book

Im writing this review for a certain lil someone to read after Christmas....I bought this lil mini version of Caroline because there was NO WAY I was going to shell out 150 bones for the plastic 18 inch tall version of Caroline thats MADE IN CHINA. Thats worse than a "cabbage patch" kind of crazy. Im also not in the business of crushing the dreams and wishes of a lil girl who wanted a Caroline doll... so here is the compromise. If this 6 inch version of Caroline can stay out of the dogs mouth for one day I will be surprised. If it lasts a month without being chewed up, it will be a miracle. If it lasts a year, that means it was put up on a shelf to keep it away from the dog and not played with or used very much. You can earn and use your own money if you want to start collecting the large American Girl dolls. I think it is a waste of your money. Just remember all the Barbies you already have that you dont play with anymore.... P.S. enjoy your new bike... our chocolate lab puppy probably wont eat that...The product itself is cheap plastic junk from China, on par with most toys these days. She is subtly creepy looking, kinda reminds of "Carol Ann" from the movie Poltergeist. I hope we dont get sucked through our television set into a rip in the fabric our space/time continuum and end up doing battle with evil spirits that have not crossed over into the light.

Very happy with the new caroline. We had the old one but much prefer the thinner, more natural face. If you aren't familiar, the older versions all were the same looking, chubby faces. The updated versions look much better. The only downside is they replaces the mini hardcover with a softcover book. Considering how small it is, I don't think it will hold up well with normal play.Caroline has curly gair so if it's styled, it will get messy as with the full size doll. It's just what you get from any curly doll. Her dress is very cute and although period, it doesn't scream old fashions my daughter likes that she can go along with gurk of the tesr dolls without looking to out of place all in all, she is adorable and a great improvement from the previous version

We love this doll, and to my surprise when she came in she was the soft body version. That was a huge bonus for us, because the soft version is usually more expensive and I just assumed that she was the hard body. I love these and am so glad I saw them on here. I was wanting to start collecting the American Girl dolls for my daughter right after she was born but didn't want to spend $100+ each and the minis have helped me do that. They are just as nice as the big dolls but without the big price tag. They also fit in her dollhouses perfectly. The only draw back is there are no accessories for the minis like there are for the larger dolls.

pretty 6 inch doll, but I had to take it out of the box to display because the advertisement on the box covered her dress.

Cute doll, the hair is getting really messed up already after a few days, and the book is ridiculously small and unreadable. Other than that it is an ok size for my little girl

Clearly I missed that word. The doll was the regular mini doll, but I had seen other sets that had books and the mini doll - this is not that set. It is a Mini Doll and a MINI book! Don't expect your kid to read it - unless they are doing so with a magnifying glass!

Cute doll, but much smaller than I was thinking it would be... and the book is very, very mini. A little disappointed, but my daughter was thrilled, and that's what counts :)Just be aware that this is a very small doll and itty bitty book -

My daughter really loves this doll, as she wanted a real American Girl doll, and this is affordable. She even read the little book - there's a lot in there for a small book! We were impressed with the fine details of the clothing, the doll itself, and the soft, wavy hair.
