Noodles that help you lose weight!
If you want to lose weight order a batch of these noodles and eat them for a week or two. They do not taste like anything so they can soak up any flavor. They have no calories so you can eat as many as you’d like to fill you up anyway you would like and you can pair these noodles up with any type of vegetables or protein they are a 10 out of 10 excellent quality and they do not contain any bad carbs their texture is very smooth and rubbery. They are very easy to prepare. You don’t even need to cook them. They do not smell and they are very versatile.

When you need noodles but are on a diet
After being on a diet all summer I was really missing noodles and found these by looking up low-calorie alternatives. They come in a shelf-stable bag. There are instructions about how to prepare the noodles, where you separate them in cold water with lemon juice and baking soda, then rinse them. Then they are ready to warm up and eat. This adds a step to cooking and some thinking ahead but only takes a couple minutes and isn’t difficult in itself. The noodles have effectively no flavor. They are glassy and really don’t soak up any sauce. At the same time, they don’t soak up water either, so won’t become mushy even if they sit in water for days. This bag is enough for two big servings. What constitutes a serving is really just a matter of how much physical volume you want to eat, because the noodles are so low calorie, eating one noodle or the whole bag is a trivial difference. These are WAY better than nothing. That might sound like faint praise but it isn’t. They are also way better than zucchini noodles. They’re more expensive and not as tasty as rice or wheat noodles. These are great if every calorie matters and you want that noodle component in a dish.

My Favorite Gluten-Free, Vegan Noodle
I ordered the Sea Kelp noodles based on a Pad Thai recipe in the “Love Is Served: Inspired Plant-Based Recipes from Southern California” cookbook from Cafe Gratitude. The Pad Thai was excellent! It didn’t taste like traditional Pad Thai but I though it was better because everything in it - the sea kelp noodles, fresh ingredients, homemade peanut sauce, and toasted almonds - tasted lighter and fresher. I almost didn’t order the noodles because of some reviews on the flavor. I tasted them before cooking and they reminded me of seaweed salad. So, I think you’ll like the noodles if you like seaweed salad. There were also comments on how to prepare the noodles. My cookbook has directions (see pix) so maybe users didn’t know to rinse the noodles in warm water, place in a bowl with 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice and 2 teaspoons sea salt, pour hot water over them, and cover the bowl for 30 minutes. After cooking the noodles, drain the hot water and add to meal prep. I mixed everything in a bowl but the peanut sauce cooled it down. It didn’t taste bad just wanted warmer Pad Thai. I microwaved (I didn’t want to overcook the crisp vegetables in a pan) the Pad Thai for about 15 seconds x 2 and it was perfect! No dry or mushy noodles :) I’ve used the same package on separate meals 2 days in a row and there was no change in flavor. But I don’t know how leftovers taste because there hasn’t been any. I really like the sea kelp noodles maybe even better than shirataki noodles. Both are excellent in Asian dishes. Not sure how they go with Italian dishes but definitely one of the better gluten-free noodle options. Good luck! P.S. I didn’t have agave nectar for the recipe so I used Big Tree CocoAminos because it’s like a sweet Tamari or soy sauce.

Social media got me.
Being on a low carb diet you look for edible cheats that can take the edge off of the cravings you have from the foods you before. I bought these noodles because social media told me they are a great substitute for pasta. I am gullible as hell. They taste nothing like pasta. They do not taste bad, I just would not use them for a pasta substitute in Italian sauces. They are neutral tasting and the texture is what I would call "snappy". I definitley could eat them in a stir fry like dish instead of rice.

Not Organic
I bought these and following the directions the texture was really good like sweet potatoe clear noodles. My concern is why these are not certified organic. My guess is that there must be something either with where they are sourced from in the sea vegetable and/or the process to make them into a noodle. I could not find any information. If they were organic I would definitely buy them again. But for the price and they are not organic is concerning. Especially with microplastics in the oceans I feel there just isn't enough transparency.

Amazing consistency! The real thing.
Excellent! Delicious, I actually did not buy it for low-cal angle. Had it as a Korean meal side dishes (Banchan). Easily recreated at home.

I changed my review - they are GOOD only so long as you use lemon/baking soda and hot water!
The package does not tell you how to properly prepare these which I find frustrating and silly. I had to read these reviews to find out that there is a way to make these noodles soft. You have to boil them and add lemon and baking soda - it seems. Because if you don't - they are like small strands of crunchy nothing that taste like nothing and don' have the texture of noodles at all - more like crunchy nothing/plastic of some kind - YUCK. I threw them out with disgust. So the rating will change once I make these the "secret" way that the company has decided NOT to tell you about on the package when you buy them. C''mon kelp noodle people....don't make me do extra research to use your product...what a waste of my time and my money (since they were so awful I threw them away). I updated my review to five starts because I found the right way to make them taste like glass noodles - soft and yummy. For each package use 1TBS baking soda and 2TBS lemon. Put the lemon and baking soda together (see the bubbly chemical reaction) then put the glass noodles in there and get them coated in the stuff. Last add hot water to it and let it sit for 8 minutes. Perfect noodle! The company NEEDS TO UPDATE THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PACKAGE!!! Without these steps, these are awful.

I never write reviews, but these noodles are amazing.. I honestly think the bad reviews are from people who don't know how to prep them. I don't mind my noodles a little crunchy, but If you prefer softer noodles all u need to do is clean & soak with hot water. Its very easy to prep. I think it's best made with soups.

Ich glaube den Grünteegeschmack brauchts nicht unbedingt.... Kleinere Portionen sind wünschenswert. Lange Lieferzeiten und an zwei verschiedenen Tagen (und Pakete)
