Requires 3 AAA batteries!
It doesn't really have its own battery as name tries to falsely imply. It requires 3 AAA batteries. Otherwise works as expected.

Good for that late night walk to the bathroom qhen camping
I had a headlamp in my camping kit but it died. So i needed another. This one was inexpensive and it takes standard AAA batteries. I learned my lesson with rechargeable devices in my camping gear and now only buy stuff that takes standard batteries. The issue with things that have rechargeable batteries is that they eventually stop holding a charge when they sit on a shelf waiting for the next camping trip. I don't camp often and it is annoying to get my gear out my gear only to find that my gear will bot hold a charge. So now i only get stuff that takes standard batteries that can be replaced. This light is nice in that it has a white light and a red light. Turns out the red light is better for that late night walk to find a bathroom. The white light is dimmable but it still blinds people if i happen to look at them. But the red is not blinding and yet i can clearly see when walking at night.
