Artemisia Annua ( Sweet Wormwood / Sweet Annie ) is a common type of wormwood native to temperate Asia, but naturalized in many countries including scattered parts of North America. The growing period of Artemisia annua from seeding till harvest is 190-240 days, depending on the climate and altitude of the production area. The plant should be harvested at the beginning of flowering. At that time the artemisinin content is the highest. Tea brewing method - 1. Rinse the herbs with cold running water then soak it for 30min. 2. Water : Herbs ( 2liters : 30g ) 3. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 30min ~ 2hr or more. Lots of twigs and woody bits
Be aware that the majority of the bag is not the aerial tops of this herb- I was disappointed that most all of the herb is twigs and very woody bits. I’m still using it, and would recommend, just be warned that you will be breaking up twigs.

Inconsistent, quality issues
I have purchased this before, last time it was fine green powder and 3/4 branches, current bag looked brown with thicker and thinner stems, be careful not to choke on the thin ones, they never go away. The water never changes color, I put lemon and ginger in, and thats all I taste. Tea remains clear. INCONSISTENT PRODUCT, I didn't learn my lesson the first time.
