Unwashed seeds - sufficient quality
These are unwashed seeds, I can tell you that right now. There are bits of plant matter in bag, and anyone who understands the washing process knows that doesnt happen with washed seeds. They are sufficient, but not especially high quality. Overall a viable option, would recommend for fellow deviants.

Keep it up, please!
Really great product, I was pleasantly surprised. A bit of advice, I always make sure I rinse my poppy seeds before adding them to my dressings or batter, which these definitely needed. Not a complaint by any means, as a matter of fact this has always confirmed for me that I’m using a natural product that hasn’t been tampered with before packaging, which I’ve found makes a HUGE difference in the shelf life of these types of items that may not get used every single day. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I will be back and will send others your way, especially with the holidays coming. Please keep doing (or not doing, in this case! Lol) what you’re doing! ❤️

Good product!
I use poppy seeds for many things, protein bars, muffins, even occasional tea. I've bought many of bad quality but these are very good! Keep them raw and unwashed!Thank you!

Love poppies!
I love the smell of poppies blooming in the spring. But don't try to plant these, as they have been washed and will not grow in the ground. These taste like poppy seeds that have been carefully washed. I enjoy the taste of these seeds, if they have not been put through a washing machine. I am not giving these a 1 star, because they were well packaged, and for amazon, they are high quality machine washed seeds.

I’ll pass on this brand should I ever need Seeds for baking again.
Yuck. That’s all I can really say, they smell weird. Probably better off at Whole Foods or somewhere reputable.

These are ok
This company's seeds are presently if the Dutch variety, kind of bluish black. I've ordered from them a few times now. The first time they didn't have much smell or anything to them, but they were basically ok. The second time very little visible plant material in them and barely worked for my needs. This last time there is more visible plant material, washes to a lightish brown with a slightly bitter taste.I can recommend these as an alternative to the NC for those of you who, like me, can't tolerate the side effects of the English and Spanish poppies.

Good quality seeds, but terrible packaging for shipment
The flavor of the poppy seeds is fine. (I use them only to make almond poppyseed cake... I am not a baking connoisseur.)But both the interior and the exterior package were ripped. The outer package (a bubble mailer envelope) only had a small tear, so I think (hope!) we lost only a teaspoon worth. But the plastic bag inside had a big tear, probably 20% of the poppy seeds were loose inside the exterior package, and since I didn't notice the outer tear at first, when we opened the outer package, we spilled and lost a lot of those loose poppy seeds. Overall, I think we probably only lost 10% of the overall product, but it was very disappointing to have such poor packaging.
