Cuprinol Shed & Fence Protector - Acorn Brown 5L

It's a bit on the expensive side and it's a bit staining if you spill it on slabs etc, but this is a brilliant product. It penetrates into the wood (particularly rough sawn fence panels) and preserves the wood for ages, way better than the water based alternatives. If you want to do the job less often, and for the fence or shed to last a lot longer, than go with this. Well worth the extra money and effort.

This is great for protecting my wooden shed, I apply it usually every year and the shed is looking as new despite it been 20 years old. I normally bought it in a DIY store but the price was the same so I ordered it with Amazon and got it delivered. It gives great water - weather protection. It spreads very well and therefore little covers a large area making it easy applied. . It came well packaged as I was a little worried about it been delivered but it was fine no leaks.

This goes on easily, a little bit more work is required for rough wood. However, it has the consistency of water. Without a spout on the can, it is impossible to pour out without it going everywhere. As it is so runny, it is also impossible to apply it without getting covered in splashes, so a major clean up is needed immediately after use. I tried using both sponge (which I use for vanishing) and bristle brushes and found that bristle brushes work best and do decrease the splashing a fair bit. This is the first time I've used this product so I can't comment yet on its effectiveness. I wasn't really bothered about colour, I just wanted to give some protection to raw wood, but I imagine it will do a decent job.

Excellent product use it on my shed every year. It does exactly what it says on the tin and keeps my shed protected all year round. I usually put 3 coats on, in quick succession and it's protected for another year. My only complaint is not how good it is because it is good, is that its oil based, like water to apply and splashes. So cover everything. Plants and everything else first but the results are worth the effort.

This in my opinion is the best shed / fence preserver on the market, just done my summer house which hasn’t been treated for about 7 years, jet washed it first then treated it, looks like a brand new summer house. It may be more expensive than other treatments but it is well worth the money.

I have a 18 x 12 foot shed and managed to do x1 coat on the whole thing and x2 coats on the sides in the picture. This works out perfect for me as the other sides don’t get weathered at all and looks great after two coats. Really happy with this product covers really easy and quite fast to dry so you can apply a second coat quite quick after. (Roughly 30mins in between coats depending on weather) Will buy again when needed also this is solvent paint and not water based which I was recommended to use by multiple people. I’m no expert but just got told to avoid water based stuff. 100% recommend this.
