Overall great product. A little on the pricey side for the wifi. Easy set up. Great notifications for tamper on the unit if moved or wrong code put in. Overall construction seems solid. Wish the unit came with more accessories. A little pricey to add the foam block for more pistols etc. Easy to program and set up the finger print. Finger print scanner reads finger print every time with ease. Did not set up the nano key as it makes me a little uneasy to have that easy of access to the safe. App is okay. Mainly used for info on battery/ tamper / temp and humidity. Cannot communicate with safe thru the app. Push notifications from app can be set up. Feel good about purchase with 3 year included warranty after set up.

Easy Setup, Heavy gauge metal, Securely hold you valuables and it's accessories that needs to be kept from inquisitive young hands and as long as it is bolted down I feel like it could stand up to some abuse if it came to it. For some reason it didn't like my older Wifi access point I use for all my IOT and home automation, but I put it on my main network and it has worked flawlessly. With the app on your phone it will alert you someone tampers with the fingerprint sensor or keypad, unplugs, or even jostles the unit. Lots of configurable options like whether and how long the interior light comes on when you open it, an alert that goes off if you leave the door open too long, and a remote (included) that can be hidden to open the unit from a distance. It can run for months on the included rechargable battery but it stays connected to Wifi so you get the fastest response when left plugged in with the included usb charger/cable although any usb power supply could be used. For extra protection I added a window sensor from my alarm provider to the door so it also trips the house alarm (and monitoring will call the police) if the door is opened while the alarm is in away mode which I would never do under normal circumstances. I can also push and hold it's test button to intentionally trigger the house alarm if for some reason it is not already triggered. I loved it so much I bought into the ecosystem and got their mobile unit also with fingerprint sensor so I have similar protection when secured in the car and when I travel. Their small mobile units don't have Wifi yet but it will alert you of tampering when you return and open the unit. They recommend registering multiple fingers multiple times and there are plenty of slots to do so and that works well, I find it recognizes your finger even if it is not perfectly aligned and regardless of orientation. More importantly it has rejected any fingerprints that are not registered (I've had several friends try). Wish List: Lithium Ion batteries instead of Alkaline in the mobile units, They already have a USB port for backup power to use the code or fingerprint sensor if the battery is dead. Wifi features and notification on the mobile units. My cars, any Hotel I'd stay in, and Second home all have Wifi and USB power nearby. Integrate Wifi units with home automation like Google Home or Alexa so it could trigger routines. Integrate Wifi units with home security systems like Nest, ADP or Simplisafe via API. Set profiles to specific codes and/or fingerprints i.e. If I open the unit with a certain fingerprint or code disable the light and door open alert so you don't reveal my position should that need arise. Never-the-less I highly recommend this safe for it's intended purpose and the Fingerprint Reader and Wifi are not a gimmick and easily worth the premium.

Okay I don’t usually do these but I have to come on here and explain how happy I am with this purchase for how much they cost the might be a little scary at first but I won’t pick a different safe after getting my vaulttek safe they are stunning the hold a lot!! They open with the quick button and or finger print and code I am so happy I pulled the pin and ordered it 10/10 recommend!!

The safe overall is a great safe (value for the money). It is sturdy enough. Feels solid. Multiple redundant abilities to enter the safe if needed. The digital reader has a hygrometer built in to monitor the humidity inside the safe and you can load a smart phone app that will notify you in case of unauthorized attempts of access. I absolutely believe that it was a good purchase. I read other reviews about the fingerprint scanner and the problems they experienced. I took that into account and decided to purchase the safe as that was a problem that I would be able to live with if it happened to me. The fingerprint scanner does work, but it is very finicky. It fails nearly 20 - 30 % of the time. As I've read from another reviewer, "If Apple and other phone companies can develop a fingerprint reader that works without fail, surely this company could have provided a product that is better than this!" (Paraphrased) Nevertheless, I am pleased with the safe.

I bought this gunsafe as I was starting to build my pistol/handgun collection, and this product offers so many wonderful options. I have a lot of my sensitive documents in the upper retractable shelf that's provided as well adding modular gun/mag racks, I will definitely be getting more of these as my collection builds as well as I've been eyeing the rifle gunsafe as well. Definitely can't go wrong with Vaultek that's for sure.

If you are looking for a safe that will keep your guns safe with ease of access, this one is it. It does what it is meant to do-keep your firearms away from your kids but still quick to access. The fingerprint reader does an excellent job as does the nano button. The keypad is also quick and lights up nicely when you pass your hand over it. The app works great as well. I added a motion sensor light to the back as the interior light doesn't stay on for very long. Mounting holes and hardware provided in case you want to secure it to a wall.

I have a lifepod and think its a great little safe. I had high hopes that the wifi issues for this safe were isolated issues or one offs but i was wrong. If you buy this you will have two options. 1) use it without wifi or 2) Call customer service for help in connecting it to wifi and hope you can get help. I really wish they had a non bluetooth/wifi version as i only really wanted the fingerprint + numerical option but so far I haven’t used the wifi piece because I cannot get it to connect and I’m waiting for a callback from Customer service. The safe itself is great and it works well except the wifi piece and app. The app is trash for a lot of reasons but mainly because it only works on one device. If you set this up on your phone you can’t access the app with your code on a tablet. For all the $ vaultek makes the least they could do is invest in a good app. I mean thats their differentiator from other companies although that gap is closing quickly. Would I buy this again or recommend to a friend? For me if it was fingerprint + numerical only, yes. For a friend I’d share what I’ve written here and let them decide.
