Perfect for cutting tomatoes, onions, and any other small fruit or vegetable you'd like to cut thinly or into small bits. Too thin for anything big though. If you have a big onion for example, you'd need your larger knife to start it and then you would switch to this knife to do your smaller or thinner bits. But a great addition for people who have several knives.

An excellent knife for cutting tomatoes. Cuts easily through the skin and makes smooth slices of whatever width you need. I think it would also work well on soft fruits with tough skins, like peaches.

This Omesata Tomato Knife is excellent. It does what it is suppose to do with ease. I highly recommend it as a nifty kitchen necessity when cutting tomatoes or other soft items that often can squish with ordinary knives.

The knife is very sharp. I like it. It cuts perfectly. I use it not only for vegetables but for other purposes as well. The only drawback, but I consider it a major drawback, is that the handle is very thin and uncomfortable to hold, especially when my husband is doing it.

I bought this for my mother who's always slicing veggies for salads and sandwiches. I noticed her tomato slices were pretty thick, so I wanted to find her a better knife. I chose this one because the price wasn't bad and didn't see any bad reviews. She hadn't ever heard of a special knife for cutting tomatoes and didn't think it was necessary, so it spent some time sitting in a kitchen drawer before it was used. I finally caught her before she started slicing veggies, pulled it out and suggested she test it to see what it's about. Her first reaction after she finished the salad - "I wish I had one of these 40 years ago!" She said it really makes cutting tomatoes enjoyable and super satisfying, and she likes how it cuts right through tomato skin like butter. Now it's her go-to knife. I only wish it came with an actual sheath because its very sharp, so I worry about her slicing her fingers because she keeps it in a drawer. It does come with a thin cardboard / paper sheath, but that won't last forever and I don't really think it's meant to serve a purpose other than to protect the knife during shipping.

These knives are slim and look pretty cheap. They’re not! They’re fabulous! A budget friendly, slim, lightweight knife that’s even great at finely slicing shallots. You could finely slice the tips of your fingers off with it along with a nail. Excellent knife! 👌🏼 so good that I got another and another. Also, for the price of them and how good they are, you could use them as a steak knife too.

This tomato knife is great. It slices tomatoes very easily and is very sharp, be very careful handling it.
