Larue Tactical QD Scope Mount - LT111-30

I own two LaRue Tactical LT111-30 Quick Detach 30mm uni-mounts. They are a very solid piece of kit, and hold zero on both my Remington 700’s, that are mounted in Accuracy International AICS AX 2014 stocks.The LT111 mounts allow me to swap scopes on both rifles, I have a MTC viper 6-24-56 SCB on the .223 and a Nightforce NXS-8-32-56 Zerostop MOAR on the .308 It is important to note both rifles have the same Tier One 20MOA Picatinny or MIL-STD-1913 rails, as this eliminates any perceived alignment discrepancy in relation to the action.The scope height is a about right for the AI stocks, as the free float forend keyslot rail of the the AX 2014 stock, is slightly raised in relation to the scope picatinny rail. This may be different for other rifle stocks as it could potentially sit the scope higher on the rifle. On both my rifles the scope sits 1.535" above rail offering excellent alignment.I chrono my amo with a MagnetoSpeed XFR, and use StrelokPro for iPhone. I have inserted the correct scope height data into the program, and have found the results to be excellent out to 600yds. I have a Bushnell columulator and check after zeroing the rifles at the range, thus its easy to confirm exactly where the zero points are, before I swap the scopes.In conclusion the LaRue Tactical LT-111 coupled with a good quality scope is an excellent cost effective alternative to buying several scopes, and mixed rail setups. The LT enables me to have a quick changeover from 223 to 308 with the same Nightforce scope. it's painless to switch calibers, make minor elervation turret adjustments, and know that I have a reliable zero.This setup may not work for everybody, there are other quick detatch products out there, but the LaRue LT111 works well for me.
